Our last summer~Peter

"I'll be gone by the end of the summer." Y/n held Peter's hands as they told Peter the news, the couple had spent their childhood years together, they never spent a summer apart, they had played together, they fell in love with one another. There was never a moment that wasn't spent with one another.

"We'll spend every second of every day together, I'm not ready to say goodbye." Y/n giggled as they looked at Peter.

"You know that's not true, you're spiderman for crying out loud, you're working for the incredible Tony Stark!" Peter looked in Y/n's eyes, for a moment he felt like if he concentrated enough he could stop time, preserve this moment like a picture or a flower.

"But I'll stop just for the summer, please I can't let this be our last summer together, I'll do all that cheesy romantic movie moments for you." Y/n laughed at Peter as they wiped away their tears. "I love you too much to not spend this time with you."

The couple pressed their foreheads together, Peter wrapped his arms around Y/n's body, he took a mental image of the moment.

Time skip end of the summer

Y/n sat on the bottom of the stairs in the apartment block, they waited for Peter to appear, he knew the day Y/n was leaving.
"Y/N!" Y/n turned at their name and looked up the stairs, Peter was sweaty from running down the stairs, they smiled at their boy, every time he did something in their mind was cute he reminded them of a puppy. Always so excited to see  them.
He reached them in time. Peter wrapped his arms around Y/n, he knew that this hug would be the last, he knew that once they got in the car and drove away he knew that, his person would be miles away, would be states and highways away from him.
Peter savoured this final moment. "I made you something." Peter grabbed a box he dropped on the final stair. Y/n opened it and in it was something from everything they did that summer, movie tickets from the movies they went to, wrist bands from a carnival they went to while on holiday, a souvenir from one of those basic tourist gift shops and three books that Peter had read but the books were about teen age romance during summer and has annotated areas.
Y/b couldn't help but let out a few tears, they had received many gifts for years but never something as meaningful as the one Peter had just given them.
"I love you Spidey."  Y/n kissed Peter but it was one of those magical movie kisses. Those ones where maybe it wasn't as picture perfect to other people but those in the moment it was perfect.
"I love you too Y/n"
It all honesty, that summer for the couple was short, nothing could prepare them for the miles and highways that keeps them apart but their last summer together was amazing, it wasn't perfect, it wasn't movie like but it was still beautiful.
To be truthful again they still loved each other deeply and they both hoped that the saying "absence makes the heart grown fonder" was true.
