🏵️ Chapter 25🏵️: Standing for thy husband

{Eleanora's P.O.V}

   "How is he?" I asked the doctor who Mary called since our family doctor wasn't around.

  "Replying your highness, Duke of Welinba is fine  now but he needs plenty of rests. He should keep away from alcohol for at least the next three days and shouldn't eat unhealthily. He needs the maximum amount of rest he can get". Replied the doctor.

" Thank you, Doctor". I appreciated him before signalling Kalia to walk him out.

  Mary walked towards me with a bowl of water in her hand and the little towel floating around in the bowl.

I sat beside my unconscious husband holding his left hand as I observed his tanned face. His peach lips were dry and his hair fell back on the pillow, allowing me to have a full view of his face. I placed my other hand on his forehead to observe his body temperature and it was still hot as it was before.

  Suddenly, an idea crossed my mind. I wouldn't be a good wife if I wasn't there for my husband when I was supposed to be, right?

"Mary?" I called unto her.

"Yes, your highness".

"Book an appointment with the royal entertainment, right now. I want to have an interview with them this morning" I ordered her.

"Your highness, you've been awake throughout the night, and haven't for once laid your head to rest. Are you sure about this appointment?"

"Mary, I don't need your lectures. All I need from you right now is for you to book an appointment with the royal entertainment, like right now!" I ordered her, showing her I was serious about this. When she saw I was actually serious about it, she nodded, dropped the bowl of water on the stool beside me and walked away.

"My love, I'm going to help you sort this out. I'll make sure that all this is sorted out and you don't have a reason to feel pressured". I told his unconscious being, kissing him on the forehead, then rising to my feet and walking out of one of the guest rooms to my matrimonial room to get dressed.

I took a quick bath, my heart on fire because of what I was planning to do next.

I wore a blue gown, which had an off-the-shoulder neckline and frills at the bottom of the gown which reached my knees. I used foundation powder to cover up the red bruise on my neck and used a blue feathered boa to cover it up which forced me to wear a blue hat and a blue shade.  I wore my blue heels and took my blue clutch and walked out of the room, walking down the stairs, meeting Lorenzo and Lucas at the bottom of the stairs.

"Lucas, pick up my husband's Lamborghini's keys and wait for me at the foot on the stairs with the car, we have an outing to do". I ordered as Lucas came up to me and took my bag from me.

"Yes, your highness" He replied, collecting the keys from Lorenzo and walking out the room.

"As for you, Lorenzo, Do make sure my husband is okay before I return". I told him before turning towards the entrance to the mansion.

"If I may ask, your highness, if master asks for your whereabouts, what do I tell him?" He asked me, which made me pause in my footsteps.

"Tell him that I'm out doing my obligation as a wife". I replied him before resuming my footsteps out of the mansion.

"Welcome, your highness. We're sorry for not welcoming you the way we should have, it's just that your arrival was impromptu". Said the Managing director of the royal Entertainment telecommunication industry as I got out of the car.

I handed over my bag to him for him to hold.
"I want to have an interview right now". I ordered, closing the car door behind me and proceeding forward.
