27 ~ Anniversary

I sighed as I felt sunlight softly shining into the bedroom, making me sigh as I woke up, feeling lethargic and worn out.

I then remembered last night when we got home after walking around town and... Well.... Hehe....

I smiled with a slight blush before resting my head back on Chris's shoulder, looking up at his sleeping face.

After so much heartache in the past... How did I get so lucky today?

I leaned up and softly kissed him on the lips before carefully getting up.

I pulled on some warmer clothes before throwing on a blanket since it was chilly, and then walked out to the living room and then decided to see the view outside.

I admired the view and smiled at how peaceful it was.

My smile then fell and I hugged the blanket closer around me.

I pray that I never lose this peace again......

I continued staring out at the rising sun in the horizon before suddenly surprised by a kiss on my cheek, making me turn to see Chris was awake.

"Good morning," he smiled.

"Goid morning, you scared me," I chuckled.

"Sorry," He smiled as I realized he held 2 mugs of coffee in his hands. "Didn't realize you were in your own little world."

I smiled as I took the mug he handed me.

"Happy one year anniversary," he smiled.

My eyes widen. "Its been year already?"

"Time really does fly, doesn't it?" He asked with a soft chuckle.

I was honestly surprised.

It may feel like Chris and I have known each other forever, but most days I feel like we only had a short time together.

Yet here I come to realize that we've begun our relationship a year ago already.

I guess with everything going on, that pandemic included, it all became such a blur....

"Feels like only yesterday, you moved in and we became neighbors... Now here we are, vacationing in Belfast..... How does that happen....?" I said, looking at my cup.

"Love does that, I guess," He smiled as we clinked them together, making me giggle.

"Cheesy as always..." I said.

"Yet your blushing, so you love me being cheesy as fuck," he teased, kissing my cheek.

I smiled up at him. "I'm still glad we met...."

He smiled as we shared a passionate kiss.

We pulled back as we then looked out at the view, his arm pulling me close.

"Chris..." I mumbled.

"Yeah?" He asked.

"Do you think we can come back here again one day?" I asked. "Its just so... Peaceful..."

He looked down and smiled. "You really like it here?"

I smiled up at him and nodded.

He smiled and stroked my cheek. "Whenever you'd like, babe..."

I smiled and leaned closer to him, resting my head on him as he held me close.

"So, what do you want to do today?" he asked. "I was thinking later tonight a movie and then a nice dinner somewhere, but we can do something before that."
