A/N: longtime no see?
"You're sister's back?" Enzo asks from beside Rowan with a confused look as we leave the common room. I try not to mirror the face as I turn around, my eyes connecting with her unmistakable brown ones. Her lips curl into a smirk, one that I've seen recently.
"Who would pull their kid out of school to tour the Wizarding schools around the world? Bit odd to me." Ron mumbles as he takes another bite.
My stomach drops and I stare into the back of her head, frozen in realization. I swallow and everything around me is silenced as I grab my bag. "I'm going to Transfiguration early, I'll catch up with you guys later."
The back of my throat stings, but I keep my straight face as I run through the halls to somewhere, anywhere that no one is. I debate the nearby bathrooms but would prefer not to get harassed by Moaning Myrtle at the moment.
My vision's majority is blurred with urgency as I unintentionally push through students. "Y/n!" A voice calls from the other end of the corridor behind me. I pause, turning around and meeting his grey eyes that are filled with concern.
I debate whether to just continue in the direction I was headed, but decide against it, knowing he's the only one who can help me now. He's the only one who'd understand.
In the next moment, I'm running into his arms, instantly embracing me. I look up at him, a tear on the brink of spilling from my overflowing eyes.
"It was her," I whisper unevenly, his focus flickering between both of mine. I acknowledge a tall boy's familiar orange hair as he quickly searches the hallway. Draco notices my urge to hide and takes my hand immediately.
"Come on." He mutters, pulling me down toward the Dungeons. Instead of taking the usual turn into the common room, he strides past. He comes to a halt in front of the rarely thought-of bookcase that is draped in cobwebs and is home to a dozen books that have yet to be opened by the last two generations.
He opens the door as I glance over my shoulder, my paranoia getting the best of me.
"We should be fine in here, no one uses this room anymore." He insists as I step in, sealing the soundproof door behind us.
"I can tell, it looks the exact same as last time." I look over the room, the black and green candles still sit on the same place against the wall, the aged dripping wax reaching the bottom of the holder. The outdated Slytherin banner remains pinned to the far wall as soon as you walk in.
"You've been in here before?" He asks.
"Blaise." I clarify, but he doesn't ask anymore, seeing as I still have tears built up in my eyes. I decide to answer Draco's unsaid question as he stands in silence. "I couldn't have Fred see me, I don't need him asking questions that I can't answer. Neither of us do." I state, looking up at the platinum-blonde boy. "I can tell he has his suspicions about me."
"Having a hard transition back, I'm assuming."
"Yeah, I guess you could say it's thrown me for a loop."
"A three-month loop."
"I couldn't even notice anything off about you myself. It's like you've been here the whole time..." He looks down at me. "How do you do it?"
