I walk into DADA and take my seat next to Hermione like every other day. "Alright everyone, today we will be learning about Boggarts." Professor Moody announces.

"Does anyone know what a Boggart is?" Hermione's hand shoots up into the air immediately, causing him to turn towards us. "Ms. Granger?" He says.

"A Boggart is a shape-shifting creature that will assume the form of whatever most frightens the person who encounters it." She answers.

"Very good." He says, walking back to his desk. It had jars filled with different kinds of large bugs on it, to use as examples for spells.

"And what is the spell to get rid of a Boggart?" He asks once again, calling on Ron this time.

"Uh- Riddikulus." He replies, stuttering.

"Correct. Now, who would like to demonstrate for us?" He asks gesturing to the wardrobe in the corner of the room that's shaking violently. He points to one of the Ravenclaw students in the back of the room, having her walk up to the wardrobe. We all watch the girl closely as Moody opens the doors. Her face went blank and white as parchment, making us all lean forward in our seats to get a better look at what was hidden in the shadows.

The girl takes a few steps back as a large alligator slowly walks out. Trembling, she holds up her wand. "Riddikulus!" She shouts, making the green creature wear a tutu and blonde wig. Hermione and I, along with the rest of the class, erupt in laughter.

A few other students were chosen to face the Boggart, transforming it into different types of animals, including a fluffy little puppy. Near the end of class, Moody picks me to try the spell. "Ms. Brooke, come up here please." I wear a worried expression, already knowing what it will turn into. "Is it mandatory?" I ask. "Yes, it is part of your participation grade." He states, gesturing to his right. I glide over to the Boggart, grasping my wand tightly. In an instant, the cute little puppy turned into the one thing I hated the most.

"Why is Pansy's family there? A voice behind me whispers. I try to focus ,but the fear consumes me. My breathing quickens into an alarming speed, causing me to tremble. I stand frozen, feeling the tears well up in my eyes. I hear moody stand up and announce that the class has ended as a tear slowly slides down my cheek. I quickly rub it away with my sleeve as he encases the Boggart back into the wardrobe. Before he could say anything, I race out of the room, heading for the dorms. Tears flood my face uncontrollably as I hurry through the halls, ignoring my friends that were waiting outside of the Great Hall for me.

I skip my afternoon classes along with dinner, crying in my bed. They know. They all know now. What will they think of me?
My mind circulating around the same questions constantly, not being able to stop.

—————

That's what it's been like the last few days. I haven't been able to sleep or eat, I don't have an appetite. Hermione has tried talking to me ,but I knew I wouldn't be able to have a conversation without crying. I just watch the clock tick by, thinking. I usually never really cried, only having an exception for this one topic. I don't want to have to explain myself or what happened. I just want to be left alone.

—————

A few people have tried to talk with me ,but I couldn't until he showed up.
"Y/n? It's Fred. I don't know if you want to talk ,but I'm here if you do." He says with a sigh. "I miss you." He says in a lower tone. A few minutes later I hear his footsteps again ,but they were fading away...I miss you too Fred.

Later that night, Hermione comes back from the library after studying for a few hours, silent. She gave up the plan to try and get me to talk to her a couple of days ago, deciding that it would be a better idea to wait for me to be ready. "Hey, Hermione?" I ask. "Yes?" She answers, laying down in her bed. "I'm going to go to class tomorrow ,but can you just make sure the boys don't make a huge deal about it?" I ask timidly. "Of course." She says, giving me a kind and comforting smile. I eventually fall asleep, trying not to think too much about tomorrow.
