I abruptly snatch my bag from the ground and head out of the room to Transfiguration. I feel an eager hand being placed on my arm. "What is going on with you today?" Hermione asks, jogging to keep with with my fast pace.

"What are you on about?" I reply, focusing forward.

"You're acting odd. You know you can talk to me about anything right?" She asks, lightly pushing my arm back, causing me to stop and face her.

"I know I can." I respond, with a reassuring expression. She wears a small sympathetic smile that warms me.

"She's not being truthful." A feminine voice informs me close to my ear. My eyes flick to the right, not being used to the whispering yet. I turn back to Hermione, who's eyes are narrowed in suspicion.

"I'm fine really." I say anxiously. "We should get to Transfiguration." I mention, stepping forward in my desired direction. As we make our way to class, she stays silent. She must've figured it out. Why else would be be acting like this? I ask myself, taking a seat in my desk.

As McGonagall speaks to the class, I gaze out of the window, starting to daydream, but am interrupted by several muffled voices. I slightly jump, being overwhelmed by all of the words. "Are you alright y/n?" I turn to my left, noticing Neville looking at me obviously confused and slightly worried.

"Oh yeah, just a...um...just a chill." I stutter whist trying to come up with an excuse. He nods understandingly. I notice the muffled voices returning as I refocus. I concentrate on one of the voices, a boy's.

"Turn a mouse into a key?! How am I supposed to do that? Merlin I'm going to fail-" I cut that thought off as I hop to the next.

"When is lunch? I might actually starve to death." Another whispers.

"Bloody hell. I forgot about that party tonight. I have to figure out what I'm going to wear." A girl thinks

"Okay. Lunch, History of Magic, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and then we have to start getting ready. Does Ginny have everything else planned? I have to make sure she told everyone about it-" says a familiar voice. Hermione.

'Is that why she was acting so weird before? A party?' I ask myself, looking across the room to where she is seated. She taps her foot on the ground, looking to be focused. You wouldn't even know that she was thinking about everything other than what we are learning.

Eventually, after a long hour and a half, Professor McGonagall dismisses the class. I bolt after Hermione, who is already half way down the hallway, an advantage of being in the first row. "Hey Mione. What are we doing tonight?" I ask, trying not to show that I'm out of breath from catching up with her.

"It's a surprise. Just trust me, you'll have a nice time. Ginny and I have it all planned out." She mentions with a contagious grin.

Hermione and I meet Ginny in the common room after DADA, them immediately pushing me into our dorm for my 'birthday surprise.' Ginny switches on the ratio, of course our favorite station, and turns it up full volume.

"Ginny we are bound to get in trouble for having the music this loud." I shout.

"Who cares, you're fifteen!" She shouts back, tossing me my hairbrush to use as a microphone. Soon enough, we were all singing as if we were pop stars performing in a concert. Hermione and I slide across the floor in our fuzzy socks as Ginny bounces across both of our beds, falling off of one occasionally.

After we danced and sang for a solid hour, we all collapse onto the ground, beads of sweat forming at our temples. "Okay so, we have to get you ready for something." Hermione informs me with an excited grin. I raise my brows.

"Just- trust us." Ginny says hurrying me into the bathroom to shower.

I hop out from under the water and dry my hair quickly. As I walk towards my bed, I realize Hermione and Ginny are standing in front of something that's laying down on my comforter. Ginny sits me down on the other bed, having me face the opposite way so that I wouldn't be able to sneak a peak at whatever they were hiding.

"Alright, done!" Ginny beams, zipping up her makeup case once again.

"Ooo let me see!" Hermione exclaims from across the room in her chair. She drops her book and hurries over to us, a curious grin on her face. "You look beautiful y/n!"

"Thankyou, but I don't even know where I'm going!" I respond

"You'll see." Ginny adds with a smile. "Oh, I almost forgot the best part! Close your eyes!" She chimes, walking around to the other bed. She picks up the secret item in her arms and places it on my lap. "Alright, open!"

I open my eyes to a beautiful short, black dress. It's a fitted material with sleeves that are made beautifully with black mesh.

"Merlins beard! It's beautiful!" I beam, admiring the dress in my arms

"Merlins beard! It's beautiful!" I beam, admiring the dress in my arms.

"Of course it is! And it will look even better when it's on you so, go! Try it on." Ginny urges.

I walk out of the bathroom, not even glancing into the mirror while in there, and notice both of their jaws drop. "What?! Is it bad?" I ask frantically, trying to make out their expressions.

"No, of course not! It looks absolutely amazing on you!" Hermione chimes. "Oh yeah and wear these with it. Trust me, it'll look sleek." She says with a wink, whist handing me a pair of black beautifully strapped heels. I slip them on, perfectly forming to the arch of my feet, and stand up, a bit wobbly at first from not being used to the height.

"Yes." Ginny says straight faced as she runs to my side of the bed. She picks up the golden hoops off of my nightstand and hands them to me, along with my locket from Fred. "Cant forget this." She whispers, placing the necklace around my neck and clasping it shut.

"Ready to go?" Hermione asks, eyeing Ginny and I.

"I think so..Oh wait-" Ginny adds, dashing across the room to grab her bottle of delicious warm vanilla smelling perfume. She sprays it a few times on my wrists and neck before spraying it into the air above me, letting it trickle down onto the rest of my body. "Now, we are ready." She announces with a wink, snatching my arm in excitement, and leading me out of the dormitory with Hermione on my other side.

We make it to a crowded corridor, leading to who knows where, since I can't see past them. "Geez. Word got around quicker than I'd expected." Ginny mentions.

"Yeah, no kidding." Hermione adds in the same shocked tone. She glances back at Ginny and I with eager flooded eyes. "Ready?" She asks, Ginny instantly nodding quickly. "Let's go!" She shouts, as I take a large gulp, not knowing what to expect. I mean how bad can it be?
