Marshall sat at the sound board in the booth the next day. He couldn't help but have Madelyn on his mind. He was surprised by it but he liked it at the same time. Denaun walked into the room with one of the sound techs.

"Hey man, what's up?" Denaun asked.

"Just thinkin," Marshall replied.

"About what?"

"Ironically this girl I had lunch with yesterday."

"Really? Marshall Mathers caught up on a girl."

"Shut up."

Denaun laughed. Marshall was looking forward to their dinner plans that night. She had sounded very excited about it. He didn't know much about this girl and he didn't want to bring her to Paul's attention just yet. He knew that Paul would run a background on her and make her sign an NDA and he just wasn't ready for all that. He just wanted to see where it went for a bit. He sighed.

"How did you meet her?" Denaun asked.

"Actually Nate's girl has been bugging the shit outta me to meet her friend and I finally caved." he said.

"She hot?"

"Would I agree if she wasn't?"

Denaun laughed at him again. He didn't know how to answer that one. Marshall had interesting taste and he didn't discriminate when he was bored.

Marshall: what you doin babygirl?

Mads: working. U?

Marshall: tryin but I'm distracted

Mads: how come?

Marshall: cuz u keep running thru my head. U tired yet?

Mads: corny

Mads: but cute.

Marshall rolled his eyes as she called him cute. This girl just didn't get it. He had to get back to work though. He couldn't let his fans down no matter how much people got on his nerves. He had to finish this to prepare for the tour he had coming up. He wondered what Madelyn would say about him leaving for a tour in Europe.

Marshall: yo you got a passport?

Mads: no why

Marshall: you should get one so you can travel with me.

Mads: who says I want to

Marshall: girl quit playing, you know you do.

Madelyn stared at her phone trying to figure out what he was doing. They had only had the one lunch and even though they were having dinner that night, she was getting nervous about it. She was nowhere near ready to go out of the country with him. She barely knew him and she wasn't about to be alone with him like that. She had no interest in getting involved in a situation like she was in before. She wouldn't survive something like that again. She leaned back in her chair.

Marshall: you ok?

Mads: I think so. Can we talk about it tonight

Marshall: yeah, did I upset you?

Mads: no not really.

She called Ashley on her lunch break.

"What's up?" Ashley asked.
