Chapter 41 - Daughter

(Rimuru's POV)

Me and Ciel teleported back to Tempest and did our usual routine. I heard that Shuna, Shion, Souka, some Goblinas, and some female Kijins will take a soak in the hot springs later.

And I decided to tell Ciel about it and surprise them a bit by also going there. I also want to hear their day here and also want to talk to them some more. Tempest has been developing too quickly so everyone always seemed to be busy.

Of course, I'm not a terrible leader and not give them breaks. All of the people here in Tempest have at least 1 to 3 day offs per week.

It's in the late afternoon so me and Ciel went to our chamber's terrace to take a good look at our City and the almost setting sun is also quite visible from here, me and Ciel would always watch the sunset together.

Currently, I'm sitting on Ciel's lap with my back leaning against her chest while she caress my hair, we swap positions from time to time, and the feeling of this makes me so relaxed, I understand why Ciel love this very much, and the tea and snacks makes it even better.

"Dear" (Ciel) catches Rimuru's attention while still caressing her.

"Hmm? What is it Ciel?" (Rimuru)

"What are your thoughts if we both have a child?" (Ciel) asked and Rimuru put her pointer finger on her chin, trying to think.

"But us having a child is basically impossible right? Being a Spiritual Being and all... But having a child huh... I would be very happy if that were to happen... When I was still human, I didn't really mind not having it but I always wanted to have a family of my own" (Rimuru)

"My parents in that world have all of their attention to my similar aged brother, probably because he's more successful than me... My brother actually cares about me but we never actually see each other that much because of his busy schedules" (Rimuru)

"Back then, I wanted a family that would give me at least some attentions, care and worry about me. A family that we can joke around and laugh together" (Rimuru)

"I see" (Ciel) said with a slight sad tone.

I smiled and and turn myself so I am now sitting on her lap sideways while I wrapped my arms around her neck.

"Don't worry, I already have a family that I always wanted in this world, you, Lumi, our subordinates, and our friends. I don't need to have a child to be content" (Rimuru) said and kissed her cheeks.

"Thank you Dear, I also am overjoyed when you're with me" (Ciel) said and kissed Rimuru's cheeks to compensate.

"(Chuckle) What about your 'Kouhai'?" (Rimuru)

"Fine fine, Luminous too" (Ciel)

Both of us laugh a bit and I gave her a short and gentle kiss.

I just have a random realization.

"Hey Ciel" (Rimuru)

"What is it Dear?" (Ciel)

"Now that I think about it, we never saw my 'past self' when we came here, why is that?" (Rimuru) asked, referring to the Slime Rimuru in this timeline.

"The answer is quite simple, it's because you evolved into a Supreme Being, there would always be one and only one Rimuru Tempest, meaning you won't exist in any other timeplanes just like the late Stellar King Veldanava who created the Cardinal World" (Ciel)

"I see" (Rimuru) said and a thought struck her.

"Wait! If I don't exist in other timeplanes, what about Chloe's time travels?!" (Rimuru) ask, panicking a bit.
