I'm pretty sure you've heard of Vagabond since it is one of the horsemen of depressed swordsmen composed of Thorfinn (Vinland Saga) and Guts (Berserk).
This story is about his journey to be the very best and his process is no joke. Along the way, he receives enlightenment and comes to accept that he can't be absolute, he needs to face his fears, and whatsoever. Some villages praise him, others shun him.
I would've looked forward for the end, but the ambiguous hiatus is killing me.
