Sakuragi has been rejected for 50 times already but fell in love at first sight with Haruko when she told him his height is suitable for basketball. He showed off his non-existent basketball skills to win her affection and later on decided to go pro and love the sport itself.

This manga made me realize that eyebrows and height make the man (although contrary to popular demand, I'm a simp for Miyagi Ryouta. Rukawa simps are so overrated). I really love the art style, it gives off retro feels AND TO THINK THIS IS ONE OF THEM MANUALLY DRAWN BEAUTIES!

Team Shohoku and the people behind their success. I really love the cast of this team. Kudos to Coach Anzai for having a good eye for talent. I love Sakuragi's gang who are always behind him in his rejection phase and celebration phase. Sakuragi's teammates who had respectively good back stories that makes them lovable and essential to the plot. Their cutie manager for being such a girl crush. I just love everyone.
