In the far northern lands of Hokkaido, Japan, there is an "immortal" soldier named Sugimoto, who survived the Russo-Japanese war of the Meiji era. He now seeks the stolen gold of the Ainu in hopes of saving the widowed wife of his now deceased comrade. However, his determination seems to waver after meeting the Ainu girl, Asirpa, and the hidden secrets that are yet to be unraveled about the history of Ainus.

This is some really intriguing and fruitful read. It has cool references about Ainu culture, serial killers, old-school Japan, and NatGeo intel. I cannot wait for the anime update that I decided to read the manga. This is really worth the read.
***UPDATE: The series finally came to an end. It ended with a bang, and I love how they settled it peacefully. I also like how there are no unnecessary romances. It's kind of sad that it came to an end ;')
