Shortly after having the twins, I surprisingly snapped back which was a shock to most people. Since I'm almost down to my pre-pregnancy weight, I haven't really felt the need or the pressure to work out. Jason scheduled for a personal trainer to come down to the house for an hour long session so I decided to join in while Jason's mom watches the kids.
"Three more burpees." The trainer tells me and my eyes widen in frustration because burpees is my personal hell.
"Come on Jada, you've got it." Jason encourages me.
"I just had twins." I pant as I drop down to the ground. "My body has never been the same."
Jason and the personal trainer let out a loud laugh at my excuse.
"You had the twins almost seven months ago." Jason reminds me and I flip him off which makes him laugh some more. "Just do one more and we'll call it quits."
I take a deep breath before doing my final burpee which has me wanting to puke but I did it so I don't make any complaints.
"We have ten minutes of this session left so we're going to use this time to cool down." The trainer tells us as I take a small sip of water. "I want two laps around the backyard and then we will start doing some stretches."
Fuck my life.
The next ten minutes are grueling as the trainer makes us do high knees everytime we slow down but once we start stretching, I feel so much better. While Jason sees the trainer off, I go check in on the twins who are falling asleep while their nana plays Lion King for them.
When I make my way back to the garden, I am very surprised to see Jason standing there with two dune buggies.
"Damn." My eyes widen as I look at them. "Is it safe enough for us to ride these without an instructor?"
Jason does the shaka, "I'm a pro."
I do want to find more ways to bond with Jason so I walk over to him.
"Do I need a helmet?" I ask as I look at it and I won't lie, I have never been on one of these before only because I don't want to get hurt.
Jason spends the next five minutes explaining how the buggy operates and I listen intently because I'm seriously not trying to get hurt. I have two kids under one who cannot afford to have their momma hurt.
"I'll ride besides you until you get your hang of it."
I furrow my brows at him, "Are we not going on one?"
"Where's the fun in that?" Jason wiggles his brows at me before pecking my lips. "One is for me and the other is for you."
I sigh deeply as I look at the buggy again, "Ok."
The first ten minutes are spent driving our backyard and I find myself having a lot of fun as we begin to race eachother around. We're kind of messing up the grass but we've got the money to fix it so I'm not stressing in this very moment.
