In transfiguration class, early in the morning and a strict professor observing her class, a very timid yet proper Slytherin head girl sat at the very back with her palm under her chin. The essay was subtle yet straightforward, learning and mastering the basics of transfiguring a basic and old shoe into a mouse trap for some reason. Now, Professor McGonagall had her students write a maximum of 750 words regarding of their discussion last year.
To say the least, Elias Grant wasn't amused as he not only did not remember, but has no clue of what class they are currently on if it wasn't professor McGonagall who is teaching.
Having it done first than the rest of her class, Aurora Black was almost caught playing with her wand, twirling it between her fingers and almost hit Cedric Diggory on the face that made them both laugh. Then they duck their heads when the professor glanced their way, Aurora closing her eyes and minded her business from there on out.
"Miss Br — Miss Black, could you stay behind?"
During her last year at Hogwarts, Aurora did not want to use her mother's last name as a last hurrah and proceeds to shamelessly disregard Briar to replace with Black.
"The Triwizard tournament is almost here and you're already in trouble." Cedric whispers to her, gathering his things and handed her the sheet of paper that he wrote for their work done for the day. Most of the students didn't finish it on time and professor McGonagall referred it as a homework instead but those who finished can present theirs with additional marks. Like Aurora and Cedric.
"Am not." Aurora snarls, grabbing the paper from his hands and he laughs, quickly following the crowd of students leaving class. As she prepare to walk at the front desk, she sees Elias wave his hand and gestured he'd be waiting for her outside in which she returns with a nod. "Minnie, I was not responsible for the prefect bathrooms toilet blowing up, I give you my word."
"Oh, dear." Minerva states under her breath, hand outstretched and Aurora laughs softly before she handed her own work and along with Cedric's as well. Truth was, she was only joking and Minerva knows that it was indeed the Weasley twins who blew up the Slytherin's bathroom. It's only a matter of time before her next class with them and gives them detention for it. "As you well know, students talk in the corridors and I can't help but overhear."
"Ah." Aurora clicks her tongue, the bottom of her wand under her chin, bag strap slung on her shoulder and cloak beneath. Silky green tie of proud Slytherin wrapped around her neck but not properly tied as many students has. "It's no problem, professor. Bound to happen sooner, truth be told." She waves off, moved on from her mother throwing her out.
