"Hey, why don't we go see a movie?" Lisa suggests at breakfast.
"No. You need to call the company back. How many times must I remind you?" I tiredly say.

"Ok mom" she says with disgust.
"It's not a fun role for me either" I complain.

Lisa walks off with the stink eye and I sigh.

The memory of yesterday pops up.

"You know, you don't have to go all quiet when your sister joins us in a conversation. You can hold your own" Hoseok nods.

"Is that supposed to be a compliment?" I ask with squinted eyes.

"Why do you do that anyway?" he asks, ignoring me.
"I don't know. Habit?" I shrug.

"You're interesting, dude. Talk a little more next time" he says, holding out a fist.

I keep my smile to myself as I fist pump him.

"I'll text you. Invite me for pancakes again" he smiles.

He's so cute!

"What's wrong with your face?" Lisa asks with squinted eyes.

But he obviously has eyes for Lisa.

"What did the company say?" I ask.
"It sounds like they want to chew me out. I have a meeting today" she tiredly says as she sits down again.

"You got this" I encourage, patting her shoulder as I walk past her.

I walk to the kitchen.

"What?"

There it is.

"Aren't you coming with me?" she asks, following me.
"Company wants you" I state.

"No. They want both of us" she says.

"You can't be serious" I tiredly sigh.
"Uh huh. We're in this together" she says like she's making a remarkable speech.

I lull my head.

"I really don't want to go" I complain.
"At least I'll be there" she grins.
"So comforting" I deadpan and she frowns.

"I forgot to mention, it's an online meeting" she adds on.
"Nice" I cheer with a victory fist.

"We have an hour before the meeting so what do you want to do?" she asks.
"We should probably clean the house" I say.

"Again? It's only been a week" she complains.
"Like you know" I say under my breath.

Not like she helps. I doubt she even knows where the brooms are.

Then she sneezes.

"See? This is why we need to clean the house" I quickly jump on the opportunity.

"Trust me, it's not the dust" she quickly says with a judgemental look in her eyes.

"I think I might be coming down with a cold" she says as she sniffs.
"You're not weaselling your way out of the meeting" I warn her.

"I'm being for real" she frowns.
"Nothing a pill can't fix" I nod.

"You know I don't like pills" she complains.
"Don't remind me" I say, not wanting to hear her story again.

Even when she has a bad headache, she doesn't want to take a pill. She says she doesn't want to depend on it.

I mean-no one wants to, but I rather accept the generous advancements in modern medicine.

"You know how many pills Gracie needs to take for a normal day? Too many" she starts to gossip.

"Just listen to me and you'll be fine" I try not to get sucked in as I walk away to find the pills.
