     I left work feeling accomplished

I left work feeling accomplished.  Not only did I finish the draft of my newsletter, but I was excited to show Mr. Watson tomorrow.  There was no doubt in my mind that he would actually really like it, especially if Harry had been the one to help with the idea.  I mean, if the curly-haired personality had a degree in Journalism, there was no doubt in my mind that we had taken the same type of classes and had the same type of course experiences.

Once I made it home, I was quick to change into different clothes.  I did not want to wear my work outfit to babysit, knowing that my skirt would quickly irritate me.  Changing into a pair of denim shorts again, I pulled on a lightweight sweater.  I knew there wasn't much time left for me to wear these types of shirts, so I decided I would take all the chances I could get.  After I had changed, I pulled on my pair of white high-top Converse, checking my outfit in the mirror.  Normally, I wouldn't really care how I looked when I was babysitting, but the thought of Harry showing up made me a little nervous, to be honest.  Did I think I liked him? Not necessarily.  He was simply an attractive man and I didn't want to look unattractive in his presence.

By the time it was four-thirty, I found myself collecting my bag before heading out of the house.  I knew it only took about twenty-five minutes to get to Donna's house, but the last thing I wanted was to be late.  The walk was quiet, and I was thankful that it wasn't too busy as I walked through downtown.  The last thing I wanted was to get caught up in foot traffic, but I had been lucky yesterday, and I was again today.  It wasn't much longer until I reached Donna's house, the quaint little house always appearing adorable.  Heading up to the door, I knocked lightly, shuffling ensuing on the other side of the door before it was pulled open.

"Hi, Maggie!" Donna greeted.

She looked so good in her long formal dress.  I was pretty sure that my friend was basically showing off, the dark red matching her skin tone perfectly.  It also looked really good with her red hair, and I could not believe that my friend genuinely looked as good as she did.  Hugging her tightly, I pulled back just enough to glance over her, Donna blushing when I began to compliment her.

"You look so good, honey! I know you are gorgeous to begin with, but Billy is probably going insane looking at you!"

"Oh, I am," Billy agreed, walking into the living room with Johnny. "I just changed his diaper so he should be good for a while. Right, bud?"

"Right, daddy."

Billy smiled at his son. I set my bag down on the small table in the foyer, Donna shutting the door behind me. Walking toward Billy, I took Johnny from his grasp, the little boy giggling when I held onto him tightly. He then began to play with my hair, asking me why I had so much and why it was so curly.

"It just looks like this when I wake up, isn't that crazy?"

"Yes!" he laughed.

It made me smile, but I soon heard running footsteps coming from the hallway until I saw Jules standing in the living room. She was wearing a cute dress, the little girl telling me that she wanted to look like her mommy. It was cute, to say the least. I loved how much the two kids both appreciated their parents. Billy and Donna said goodbye to their kids, the pair grinning at me.
