I nervously got up and started walking to Dr. Buck's office.

The walk there felt like forever.

When I finally made it after lifetimes of walking, I knocked on the door.

The door slid open and I saw her.

I always thought she was rather on the attractive side but I never made a move because I didn't think it was possible. Anybody would consider themselves gods if they managed a date with her.

"Dr. Wheeler. How can I help?" She asked.

"Umm. It's a personal thing." I said.

She squinted slightly.
"Come in" she said.

I followed her in.

"So what was this about?" She asked.

"I just wanted to know if, well....-" I started, before being interrupted by a knock on the door.

"Hello? Dr. Buck?" Asked the voice of Agent Green.

Dr. Buck sighed.

I hid around a corner.

"Hello, Agent Green" she said.

"Oh hey, I just wanted to bring you this" he said, handing her an object I couldn't see because I was hiding.

"A rose? Thank you. I very much appreciate your kind gesture." She said.

Why was she so professional with him and nice with me?

"Anyways, are you free tonight?" He asked.

"No. I am rather busy" she said.

I heard him sigh. He was obviously pissed. He walked away.

She closed the door.

"Damn. he wants you and he wants you now" I said.

"I know. He is beginning to get on my nerves." She said.

"So what were you here for?" She asked.

"Umm... Remember when 3887 got me? And I blacked out?" I asked.

"Yes?" She said.

"Well I could have sworn I felt someone holding my hand. C-could it have, by any Possibility... Been you?" I nervously asked.

She looked away, as if trying to hide something on her face.
She turned back with the slight hint of pink on her cheeks.

"Umm... No. You must have imagined it. I d-did not touch you at all." She said.

"Are you absolutely certain? Because I heard quite a few people, including Agent Green, tell me that you were." I said.

"Okay fine! Yes I did!" She said.

She sighed and sat down on her bed.

I sat down next to her.

"Why me?" I asked.

"There is no point in lying anymore. The truth is, I have always admired you. I always had a certain interest in you.
From the day I first saw you, I knew that I saw something special in you." She explained.

Hearing those words brought me to he verge of tears.

I had been lonely my entire life.
To hear someone tell me that I was special was just too much for me to handle.

"And I never got to tell you how sorry I was to hear about what happened at your apartment 6 years ago." She said.

I struggled to hold back my tears.

She reached down and held my hand.

We just stayed there for a good 5 minutes. I wish it could go on for hours, but my radio beeped.

I sighed and pulled it out of my labcoat pocket.

"Dr. Wheeler here" I said.
"Hey it's me" said Mr. Moore on the other end.

"Come down to he archives ASAP" he said.

"On my way" I said back.

I was about to get up when Dr. Buck pulled me back down and kissed me on the cheek.

"Happy birthday" she said.

Could this day have possibly gotten any better?
