The Tale of the Gray Pianist

On a warm, spring night in Savannah, Georgia; Grace Hawthorne and Melanie Patterson walk down the street, holding each other's hand and smiling. They decided to have a late-night out together, scouting the darker parts of the city. While scouting Grace starts to get a bit nervous as they reach the abandoned parts of the city,

"Um, Mel. Are you sure you want to go down these parts?" she asks. Melanie smiles and kisses her,

"Of course, I want to do this with you!" she says. Grace starts to get more nervous,

"Come on, it'll be fun. Just a casual night out together. Just the two of us, having fun," she says kissing her lips. Grace blushes and smiles.

"Sure, let's see what creepy shit we can come across," Grace says while she sighs. Melanie squeals and takes Grace's hand and runs down the sidewalk, looking for a creepy place to scout. Until they come across a creepy abandoned mansion and their blood runs cold.

"Oh, holy shit Grace. This place is huge," Melanie says.

"Yeah, it is. Now let's go—"

"Wait, I wanna see what's inside," Melanie says as she walks to the house,

"Are you fucking kidding me? Mel!" Grace says running after her. Melanie arrives at the door and knocks on it,

"Melanie, stop. Let's go home—" Grace says but stops as Melanie kicks the door down and enters,

"Come on," she says running inside the house. Grace looks inside the house and enters. She looks around the house, it had an oddly fresh scent of books, and the place was covered in cobwebs. She looks at the piano in the living room and touches it softly,

"Hey!" Melanie says loudly. Grace says covering her heart and sighing,

"Jesus Christ Mel, you scared the shit out of me," she says.

"Yeah, whatever. I wonder if this piano still works," Melanie says as she plays it. Grace looks around the place and gets the sudden feeling that they were being watched. The atmosphere changed, a sudden urge to leave lingers in Grace's mind. Melanie continues to play the piano; it was Clair De Lune.

"Mel, I think we should leave it's not safe," Grace says. Melanie continues to play the piano.

"Mel!" Grace screams,

"Grace, I can't stop playing it..." Melanie says in horror.

"The fuck you mean you can't stop playing it. Take your hands off the damn piano—"

"I can't, Grace!" Melanie says as her fingers continue to play Clair De Lune, faster and faster. Suddenly, a strange presence surrounds Grace. She looks back and notices that no one was there. Suddenly, the sound of Clair De Lune slows down, and Grace looks at Melanie. Melanie's eyes widen in horror. She sees a handsome man, giving her a deadly stare. Melanie stares at the man and her breathing hitches,

"Mel, are you okay? Come on," Grace says, trying to pull her out of the seat but wouldn't budge. Until a strong, powerful force enters Melanie, and she gets pushed back, hitting her head on the table. She passes out, unconscious from the powerful hit.

"Mel, get up! Let's go," Grace says, dragging her away from the living room. They exit the house and go back home.

15 minutes later

The ladies arrive at the house and Grace drags Mel to the couch. She looks at her and prays that everything will be okay. She touches Mel's neck and feels a pulse, reassuring her that she was okay and breathing. Grace goes to her room and gets ready for bed. She gets into her bed and turns off her lights and falls asleep, not knowing the hell that she would endure.
