To the far west you will find the tallestshards of glass in existence. Taller thanany sky scraper and thicker than anypolycarbonate. These pieces of glassstand straight, sharp and erect, pointingout of the fertile black soil of motherearth, directly to the heavens likecrystalized obelisks. Some await the daythat these shards would be mendedtogether once again, restoring a systemthat is highly unfavorable by many andtolerated by none.At one point in time oppressivesystems were very common throughoutthe world. A system that strived on thebasis of inequality and injustice.Something we frown upon today, thanksto the laws of our just and nobel leaders. That is why these memorial andmonuments were created. To remindeach and every one of us of what was,and not what is to come.

That is why thepieces of these glass serve as an allegoryto convey that which should never bereflected in our society today because itrepresents a time in which man could notbe free. A time when human beings weredivided by inessential social hierarchiesand classism. Humankind has lookedbeyond such an era of turmoil anddivision now regarding these practices asarchaic and primitive in the likeness ofneo-feudalism.These pieces of glass also serve asthe mirrors that reflects the future ofIsonomia. A future that is pre-eminent,progressive and promising. Therefore, when an Isonomian youth takes a lookinto one of these crystal shards. Theybehold the past, the present and thefuture. These are the shards of the oldworld, you are the leaders of the newworld. These are the Broken Pieces ofwhat we thought to be an eternal glassceiling. Through our struggle andtriumph we now realize that this ceilingis not eternal and can be lifted andbroken. You are the ones who will ensurethat they remain broken.

Unfortunately, the origins of theseshards cannot be explained by justanybody. Only a genuine Isonomian cannarrate such a glorious tale. Even I, withall that I have contributed to therevolution, feel unworthy of narrating thistale.

Who is A True Isonomian?

"E pluribus unum". It is Latin for"Out of many, one". A nation of nations.T h i s w o u l d b e s t d e s c r i b e t h eheterogeneity of Isonomian society.Although they are a collective of peoplewith various origins, beliefs and culturalpractices. They are not bound by race, ethnicity or religion but unified by amutual goal. This common goal isfreedom, liberty and equality for allpeople. They are masters of artillery andwar. Everything in their arsenal isconducive for one purpose or another, but nothing is more effective andimportant than the wisdom, knowledgeand understanding of the world aroundthem. It is mandatory that an Isonomianequip themselves with the knowledge oftheir predecessors. For knowledge itselfis the most crucial weapon in a soldier'sarmory, whether on or off the battlefield.Applying the studies of science, technology, math, law, art, architecture, philosophy, history, political science andwarfare.

They were able to rebuild agrandeur civilization from the rubbles ofthe old world that were once called,"The Americas".They we're proficient in the study ofancient civilizations and historical events. It was their philosophy that if one wasnot aware of the past, then one would bedoomed to repeat the same mistakesperpetually. They understood thesewords of wisdom and used it to theiradvantage to run their society andengage in battle. The more ignorant oftheir opponents were observed anddefeated with psychological warfarealone. Battles that could be won withoutdrawing blood spared time, energy andcasualties. However, even the morecunning and most skilled of theiropponents would have their hubrisdiminished. Now, let's not garner the idea thatthe Isonomians were a war-like people, because that presumption would bequite the misnomer. Rather, these peoplewere known to be quite spiritual withmany fractions of their federationconsisting of those who upheld beliefssuch as egalitarianism, humanitarianism, altruism and environmentalism.

However, such people understood that everythingmust be done in moderation meaningthat there would be a time and place foreverything. A time of birth and a time fordeath, a time to weep and a time tolaugh, a time to to listen and a time tospeak, a time for war and a time forpeace. By this code protecting one's wellbeing was understood to be the pinnacle of self-preservation. Therefore theywould not turn the other cheek forwicked men with cruel intents towardsthem, their loved ones, or their country.Instead they would teach their enemies acrucial lesson in warfare. A lesson thatmade their enemies reevaluate theirbattle strategies due to a substantialnumber of casualties. Rather thanoffering their enemies their land, womenand spoils, they rendered unto themdeath, despair and destruction. They did not reign as oppressivetyrants over their land and people, butwith humility and tolerance. The beliefsand practices of many were permitted aslong as it was applied with respect andconsideration of the community, never tobe used to bring harm to one's neighbor.

Rationality was used to counteractillogical thinking. This taught citizens toutilize reason in making more precise andreasonable decisions. Which also evokedinformative debates, formal exchange ofideas and thought-provoking discourse.Eudaimonia (a greek word which wastranslated as happiness or welfare) wasprevalent in their practices of mutual aidto assist their citizens and their alliednations to flourish and prosper. Justiceand equality served as the standard ofvirtue over all the land. But let us turn back the dials of timeto elaborate on how The Isonomiansamassed everything they have, and theperilous battles they've fought to achievea Free State.
