𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗽𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹𝘆𝗽𝘀𝗲: 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴

You never know what will happen when you wake up in the morning. Maybe you find out you won the lottery. Or maybe your favourite sports team qualified for a national tournament. Maybe a supernatural event happens and you happened to be a victim. Well, what's gonna happen today, huh?

The day begun with a huge yawn. A young man gets out of bed, walking sleepily and slowly towards the bathroom to get ready for his first day of high school. Now he's ready to roll, running down the stairs with his uniform on and grabbing his bags while catching a slice of toast flying towards him. He runs towards the skateboard lying infront of the open door which leads to the break of day. As he rides across street towards school, he meets with his best friends Haru, Yusuke and Shiina.

"Yo! You good, man!" Haru screams towards him.
"Yeah, I'm good. How 'bout you guys?" He replies.
"I mean I woke up soooo..." Yusuke says yawning inbetween the sentence.
"Well, other than Yusuke's... behaviour, I'm excited!" Shiina says riding his bike. "I mean it's the first day of school! Who wouldn't be excited to see new things?"
We all laugh and the skateboarding man looks forward. You may be wondering, who is the man you've been talking about? Well, it's me, Seijuro Keiji. It's my first day at high school in Tokyo and I'm ready.

Me and my friends made it to school right on time for the opening ceremony that most schools in Japan have. It was the usual cheesy stuff, like 'we welcome you to this school' or 'in spring where the blossoms fall'. The real interesting stuff came with homeroom teacher placements. I was put with the PE teacher Ms Takamaki and - by some stroke of luck - Haru, Yusuke and Shiina were all in the same homeroom as me. During introductions and nonsense, I looked outside. It was beautiful outside, the azure skies complimenting the gleaming sun rays.

"So, a question for you all," Ms Takamaki says.
"If you in the middle of an apocalypse, what would you do?" For some reason, instinctively, I shot up and exclaimed: "I'd fight 'em off,". It turns out that my friends had the same idea as when I looked over, they were stood up and said the exact same thing. All we heard after was raucous laughter while they made light of what we said. The other sat down embarrassed while I clenched my fist, trying to hold back my mouth from erupting like a volcano but I managed to hold my anger. "Shut up, will ya?" I whispered whilst I sat down and turned my head outside again.
Suddenly, the sky turned a putrid grey color, as if the clouds ganged up on the sun.
A ship. It orbited around the school.
A door. It opened and in it were a bunch monster like figures.
A swarm. They began to fall, and marched toward the school.

My eyes narrowed and I abruptly stood up and ran out of the classroom. "Hey, where are you going Sei?" I heard Shiina shout. A few moments later, I found Haru running next to me whilst Shiina and Yusuke followed close behind. "Did'ja see what was going on outside?" Haru asked me.
"Yeah, those monsters are heading towards the school," I replied, panting in the meanwhile.
"Monsters?! Seriously?" Shiina butts in, bewildered.
"You're telling me that such grotesque things are attacking this school?" Yusuke questions, scratching his head.
"Yeah, we've gotta go and fast!" I explain, as I hit the accelerator and moved faster.
"Right behind ya!" Haru smirks, running faster and jumping the stairs.

We finally made it outside where the monsters lurked. They were already invading the school and in large numbers too. We looked at each other and nodded as these monsters charged towards us. We attempted to fight back, punching them, kicking them and dodging their lethargic attacks. They smelt horrible, like leftover food from a dumpster. We managed to knock most of them out of commission as they faded to dust, but then we looked forward and found a large monster. Ten times larger. Not as big as the USA Statue of Liberty, just big enough to give normal people a fright. I knew it wasn't a good idea to engage against the big guy, so I stepped back. The moment I did, the guy charged at me and punched me. I was a good thing I blocked it a little, one punch from that thing and I was toast. "Seijuro!" Yusuke screamed before being launched into the school courtyard. It wasn't going well for us. But I couldn't just give up...

"Hey, you okay?" a voice said to me. "You seem to be in a pickle, huh? If you don't do something, that guy's gonna kill you and massacre your school, all on the first day. Crazy, you could die on your first day of high school and it would be a memorable first time!" and the voice began to chuckle a little.
"That's not a funny thing to joke about, y'know." I panted, beginning to stand. "Who even are you anyway?"
"Sorry bud, but that's classified. Can't tell you til you're worthy enough to find out," the voice told me. "Although, what I can do is help you out a little. I'll give you a legendary weapon. My weapon, the Fusion Sword. You can use it to slay that monstrous thing." I went in to grip the sword (which was huge by the way) and the sword began to glow a vibrant yellow color and an electric aura crackled of the sword.

"Whoa, I've never seen that happen before..." the voice said confused and quite visibly shocked. "Didn't know you had electric energy flowing through your veins since you were a kid. I'm not complaining. More power, the easier the job." At that moment, the monster made a blood-curling roar which pierced the ears. "I still have so many questions, but I'll save 'em for the next time we talk." I told the voice.
"Sure. And don't worry about your friends. I'm sure they've met a voice in their head that gave them free weapons too." the voice said his final words before disappearing and the monster running towards me.

I readied my sword, prepared for a counterattack, when an arrow of light struck in front of me, blinding the brute. I looked back to see Yusuke, with a well-designed bow and arrow in hand, on top of the school roof. He gave me a thumbs-up and I charged forwards with Haru and Shiina, both wielding weapons of their own. Shiina had a bright blue lance in hand while Haru wielded a large axe with a red blade with a flame crest on it. "Let's go!" I rallied and we fought on.

The brute resorted to throwing parts of the ground at us, but we handled it by slashing them and Yusuke sniping them away. "Freezing Astra!" Shiina yelled, freezing the brute's legs. It cried out and roared, but just in time before it escaped, Haru slashed at its head. It rolled on the ground but to our surprise, its body regrew and it became more powerful.

"We have to get a cleaner hit in! It'll regrow its body if we don't get a cleaner hit!" Shiina commanded. We all looked up and nodded preparing again. It started firing blasts from its arms, dealing some damage to us and forcing us to take the defensive. That's when it hit me. I charged towards it using my Blade Beam move I just suddenly learned to distract it and have its aggressiveness aimed at me. Shiina and Haru managed to take a hint and Haru created an opening for Shiina to get in close and freeze him. It took longer as the brute tried to resist, Shiina looking in severe pain. "You've got this!" we all screamed and Shiina managed to get the job done perfectly as always.
"I'm tagging you in, Sei-chan!" Shiina said, as I jumped into the air.
"Go!!!" they rallied me on as I yelled and made a clean electric slash down the middle of his body. He blew up into multiple particles of dust in the air and blew away but the winds. We were exhausted after that causing our consciousness to fade away... "We... did it guys... ah, shit..." I said with the last remaining bit of energy I had.
