the game plan pt 1👨‍👧

In some point in their career, every athlete feels like they are on top of the world. They feel as if they're unstoppable on and off the court or field. Whether it be an injury or a child showing up on their doorstep, nothing was going to pause their game.

Jordan Poole was walking around his penthouse tending to all of his guest making sure they were alright. He decided to throw a little get together at his place after the championship parade they had in the city. He would say that his life is going pretty well right now, except for the love aspect. At times he wants to find a nice girl, but he's still heartbroken from his last relationship with his ex girlfriend Y/N. Things weren't working out and they decided it was best to not continue there relationship. Apparently it was a lot of things that Y/N was feeling and I guess something was the last straw but she never told him what it was.

Jordan thought everything was great and was going to even propose to her the next night, but I guess God had different plans.

He says he's looking, but really he's not his main focus is on basketball and basketball only. The man is twenty nine years old and plans on playing in the league for a long time.

"JP!"

"Wassup Juan."

"So me and Audi did a thing and her friend said she would love to go on a date with you."

He looks back to see the girl smiling and waving at him. Of course to be nice he waved back and gives her a small smile.

"Thank you, but no thank you. I'm not looking for a relationship right now."

"Bro you've been saying that for the past six years. When are you going to let go of Y/N and start putting yourself first?"

"It's not that easy to let go of her and you know it. She was my whole heart...it's just crazy that I wasn't paying attention to her emotions."

"All I'm saying is that if she was trying to come back to you she would've been back by now."

"I didn't tell y'all but the first couple of months we kept in contact with each other she said she needed to tell me something, but after that I didn't hear from her."

"Maybe she got married to someone else."

"If that was the case she would've told me...I just hope she's ok."

It was close to midnight and Jordan was dozing in and out of sleep with his two cats and dog on the couch. All of a sudden his doorbell rings and he quickly gets up to answer it. When he opens the door he sees no one and was close to the closing it until he heard a little voice.

"Excuse me!"

He looks down to see a little girl with the biggest and beautiful eyes he has ever seen.

"Hi what's your name?"

"Raelynn", she whispers holding onto her doll.

Y/N always said she wanted to name their daughter that to honor Jordan's best friend since that is who got them together.

"Well Raelynn my name is Jordan what are doing out here by yourself it's almost midnight shouldn't you be in bed."

"Yeah well um I was taking a rental service and they dropped me off at the wrong address."

"How did you get up here on this floor?"

"I told the guy at the front desk I knew you."

Thinking back Jordan does remember that he got a call from Maxwell and he must've been falling in and out of sleep that he said to send them up.

"Ooooo you have pets!"

Raelynn rushed past him and picked up his cat Kai brushing his fur with her hand.

"Raelynn you can't just be running into random people's home how do you know that I'm not an ace murderer."

"Yeah right says the guy who just won a championship."

"Ok well do you want to use my phone and call the driving service so they can take you to the right location."

"Um I lied about that I am at the right place."

"Ok do you have a relative who lives in the building."

"Yeah my dad lives here."

The little girl was know petting his Rottweiler Kasper. Jordan grabs a hoodie to throw on so they can go down to the lobby and get this situation sorted out.

"Wait where are we going?"

"To the lobby so we can find out which apartment your dad stays in."

"But I already found him."

"Alright then I'll walk with you then."

"But I'm already inside of the apartment...looking at him."

"Huh?"

"Mr. Jordan Poole my name is Raelynn Jordyn Poole your daughter."

Everything felt like it was going in slow motion and the room was spinning. Before a Raelynn could hold her hand out for a hand shake, her dad was on the ground passed out.
