CHAPTER 25

ALEJANDRO'S POV

Weeks had passed but my son and Audrei remained distant, I even tried everything just to soften them up but nothing worked, tried hanging out with them, offering them a ride when going to school and going home, bombarded them with gifts and letters but nothing worked.

I am always following them, making sure they're always safe but I flew back here in Manila about a week ago. I planned to reinvestigate about Karlos' death. I'll keep it a secret at first, I don't want anyone that were involved in the crime would know.

I hired investigators and detectives, one of them is my friend Atlas and they're still investigating, it would take weeks or even months to solve the crime since alot of  evidences are still missing. If Rey Asuncion is not the suspect then it's still a big question mark on who killed Karlos.

I'm currently here on my parent's house, I plan to go back to Sorsogon later this afternoon.

"Alejandro" a familiar voice called for me, sino pa nga ba? It's my brother.

"What are you doing here?" my brows furrowed, he should be at his house, he's already married and have a family. I still don't know why he's always here at mom and dad's house.

"Mom baked cookies" he showed me a Tupperware "Maguuwi ako para sa mga anak ko at kay Freya darling kong mahal" there he is again, calling his wife these cheesy call signs.

"alam mo kaya palaging naiinis si Freya sayo is because you kept calling her those names" I said bluntly.

"Atleast I don't call her nasty names like what you did to your Honey" he mocked as he sat on the chair acrossed me.

I rolled my eyes "Shut up"

"Is there a progress? " he opened the Tupperware and took one cookie then took a bite.

I took a deep breath and sigh "No, not at all, they still hate me" I said and looked down.

"Ang hirap naman suyuin ng mag-ina mo, ako dati kay Freya darling kong mahal lang ako nahirapan, my son liked me right away" he said proudly.

He's pretty damn lucky Alvarro accepted him right away. I'm kinda jealous of that, I expected that AA would react the same but he didn't.

"Do you like Audrei?" he asked.

A smile crept on my lips "I don't like her, I love her you asshole" I said while smiling like a teenager while thinking of Audrei.

"Sus, how do you feel when you see her?" he asked "I've never seen you act like that, you're blushing" he laughed.

"I mean" I scratched my nape "I'm always happy when I see them, and my heart beats wildly whenever I think of Audrei" I looked down and bit my lip.

"Tangina nito! Ya'll are romanticizing Premature ventricular contraction too much." he exclaimed.

Premature venticu-what?!

"I didn't understand a thing you said" I said bluntly.

"Does it hurt?" he said while  chewing.

I sigh " I mean yes, it hurts but in a good wa-"

"AH! DADDY!" he panicked.

"what the fuck are you doing?!" I got up but he instantly pushed me to my chair.

"No, Alejandro, huwag kang gagalaw" he commanded "Dad! Si Alejandro!" he kept on calling for him.

"Tangina! Why are you calling for him?!" I shouted, I was irritated on how he is acting like this-again.
