CHAPTER 40

"Kailan mapapalaya si Papa?" tanong ko habang humiga sa tabi ni Alejandro.

Nandito kami ngayon sa bahay, dito na rin minsan siya nagpspslipas ng gabi.

"I still don't know honey, naghihintay din ako sa go signal ng mga investigators, hindi pa kasi confirmed at persons of interest palang ang mayroon" aniya. "Medyo nahihirapan na rin kasi si Atlas,you know? He wasn't in service for years now kaya nangangapa ulit siya, that old twat" he chuckled.

Inilapat ko ang ulo ko sa dibdib niya, kasabay n'on ang pagyakap niya sa akin.

A smile curved my lips when I heard his heartbeats, it sounded so relaxing. Dahan dahan kong ipinikit ang mga mata ko at pinakinggan ang tibok ng puso niya, kasabay n'on ang mga haplos niya sa ulo ko.

I wish this moment won't end, it's too precious.

Tanghaling tapat pero heto kami ngayon nakahiga, AA is not with us, he's with his friends. I know that I should be taking care of my toddler but his uncles insisted to take him. Panatag naman ang loob ko dahil nakila Governor Seb sila. Kahapon pa siya nandoon.

He's with Nicolai, Baste and Tiago. Nikolov was supposed to be with them also pero umayaw ito at nag tantrums daw kaya hindi natuloy. Naawa ako sa nanay ni Nicolai at Nikolov, she's studying kaya hirap siyang alagaan ang dalawang anak, nasa kulungan ang asawa niya, mabuti nalang at maraming nagmamalasakit na tulungan si Lu sa pagaalaga sa mga anak niya. She's a strong woman and I adore her alot even if I haven't met her formally yet, I've only seen her on photos and videos whenever she's delivering a speech since her husband is quite influential... and I can tell she lived up by her name, Indeed a very beautiful woman.

We stayed in that position, I was just there listening to the rhythm of his heartbeat while he's gently stroking my hair.

"Where's the necklace?" He asked out of the blue.

Itinaas ko ang tingin ko "Why are you asking?" I asked.

"Wear it Honey, that's really precious" Aniya.

" I really don't want to wear it" I answered truthfully "It seemed very vulnerable, Gusto ko lang itago and I just want to cherish it without wearing it besides, baka mag-fog 'yong crystal niya"

I would rather not wear the necklace kaysan naman sa mawala ito, baka ma hold-up o higitin ito sa leeg ko kapag nasa labas ako at suot suot ko iyon.

He chuckled "Well, atleast wear it when I'm with you"

Bahagya kaming napabangon.

"It's at the vanity drawer" I pointed at my vanity table.

He got out of bed and opened one of the drawers at inilabas ang black velvet box na lalagyanan ng necklace.

"Sit here" he patted the chair.

Dahan dahan akong lumapit at naupo sa upuan.

"I like seeing you wearing this" he murmured habang hinawi ang buhok ko, exposing my nape then planting a soft kiss making me shiver.

He then put on the necklace on me. Inayos ko ang pendant sa dibdib ko at tumingin sa salamin. I can't stop being drawned to this necklace, I'm always in awe whenever I see it.

"Wear it whenever you're with me or if you miss me, just caress it, that's the symbol of my undying love with you" aniya at hinalikan ang tuktok ng ulo ko.

I turned my gaze at hinarap siya, pumantay siya sa akin. He looks dazed while looking at me, bakas sa mukha niya ang galak and there's a faint smile in his expression.
