Dear Diary,
Something happened today. We were ambushed because there is apparently a way to sneak up on people even in the desert. Don't worry, we got out unscrapped, thought the sand elves, unfortunately, can't say the same thing.
They almost overwhelmed us, but they clearly hadn't taken into account the speed of casting that comes with a wand. And Hermione has apparently found me 'very brave' today and thanked me in kind. The knowing smirk Reema sent me when I went to get water told me everything she thought of Mione's satisfaction with my performance.
