Dear Diary,

Today was the kids' first day of school and bloody hell was it difficult to let them go. And just how great was to feel good to come home and be greeted by a 'Hey dad' from Teddy. I must have frozen for a good few seconds before a smug Ron came and high-fived his honorary nephew, his goddaughter following with a lightness to her step that I hadn't seen in her before.

My cheeks are hurting from the smile that has been plastered on my face all night. Del called it my 'stupidly happy grin' but I don't care, because I'm 'dad' now!

Oh yeah, and the kids got into a fight their very first day, but I'm too happy to deal with that now. It'll have to wait tomorrow.

Later,

Harry

P.S. Yes, I'm perfectly aware that they probably decided to start calling me that to try and avoid getting into trouble. Those little menaces sure know how to get to their dad's heart.
