Wolfstar ~ Raising Harry

**Heyyy, sorry I haven't been very active recently. I've been super busy with school and a bunch of other personal things. Anyways, here is a Wolfstar oneshot. Sorry if it isn't exactly fully focused on The romantic side of the relationship, but I feel like I never see enough fluffy family Wolfstar+Harry fics so I wrote one myself haha ;P Anyways I hope you enjoy!! I love you <3!!**

**TW : just incase, the first four paragraphs have mentions of character death/death of loved ones and m*rder (it's just mentions, not graphic), and there is brief hints to an ab*sive family (Sirius and the tapestry room) but theres a sweet connotation behind it. I hope this helps for anyone who gets affected by these things, I just want people to enjoy these oneshots and don't intend to distress anyone, but I know everyone reacts differently to different things <33**

~12 Grimmauld Place - After Hogwarts~

The first week after Lily and James were murdered was a blur. Suddenly, Sirius and Remus had to take on parental roles to a one year old baby, Harry, who until then had only been their godson who they visited a few times a week. Now, one of the upstairs rooms was turned into a makeshift nursery, and a transfigured cot sat in the corner of their bedroom. Hardly any words have been spoken since that horrible night.

One of the only things that was uttered over the following days was 'I love you's whispered in the morning and night times. Suddenly the fact that anything could happen really hit home. Remus and Sirius knew that any death eater could easily track them down now and come to get them and Harry if they so pleased, meaning their time is no longer the limitless fantasy of happiness and romance that it had been until this point.

--- one year later ---

Harry was now two years old, able to make proper memories, and Sirius and Remus felt the guilt everyday that Harry probably won't remember his mother and father. That's why they tell him a little bit about them every day. Even if he's only a toddler, things like this will be ingrained into his memories forever.

It's gotten a little easier to deal with the fact that their best friends are gone, but it probably will never really be fine. They'll always miss going over to the Potter's or going out together after work or on the weekends. Miss the Christmas dinners, birthdays, bus hopping during the summer, and snowball fights in the winter. One of the only things that keeps Remus and Sirius positive is knowing that the least they can do is make sure Harry gets somewhat of the childhood he was supposed to get. They knew Lily and James would have wanted them to carry on, for their sake, and Harry's.

--- two years later ---

"Prongslet! Where are you?" Sirius called through the hallways of the house, looking under every table and chair.

Making his way into the living room, Sirius ran into Remus, well more like he ran into the room that Remus was reading in. The honey eyed man looked up at his boyfriend who had been shouting for the last fifteen minutes.

"Looking for the munchkin?" Remus smiled up at Sirius who was scanning the room with his eyes. Curse this house for having so many rooms and hallways.

Sirius nodded before Remus pointed a finger to the other door to the room, meaning Harry was probably in the next room. Sirius gave a small smile, exhausted from chasing Harry around all morning.

Suddenly, Sirius stopped in his tracks as he remembered what room he was about to walk into. He and Remus had only brought Harry in there a few times, and Sirius had told the boy how the people on the wall were meanies. Other than that, they didn't go in there. It brought back pretty bad memories for Sirius, especially since that was the room he would be punished in when he was younger, forced to look at the family tapestry and think about how his actions will affect his family. Luckily, that doesn't happen anymore, but since it brings back bad memories, they usually keep that door closed, only going in there if they really have to.
