today was your first day back to school after the half term and you were dreading it. you had no reasons to be going, you weren't particularly great at school, you had one friend, and your teachers are assholes. but yet you still find your self going because of one boy, jaden walton.

Y/N'S POV

as i made my way into science with maia, i was greeted with nothing but hell.

"RIGHT GUYS! NEW SEATING PLAN"

the teacher was getting to the end of the list of where everyone was sitting, only me, maia, jaden, and some kid called james were left waiting for your seats.

i waited in anticipation almost praying you were next to maia, i don't think i could handle being next to jaden. i'd be a hot mess.

"okay! maia and james, and last but not least, jaden and y/n"

i sighed trying to keep it cool as i made my way over to my seat next to jaden.

"hi" i said giving him a half smile

"hey" he said smiling

the class started and you tried to get comfortable for the long class ahead.

A WEEK LATER

after a while it didn't go too bad sitting next to jaden. you started talking to each other that lesson and you guys actually had a lot in common.

as you walked to science you couldn't help but think of jaden. you were starting to like him, like alot alot. so you were excited to sit next to him, after all he's the only reason you come to school.

Y/N'S POV
i walked into class and sat myself in my usual seat next to jaden. me and him said our hello's and started chatting like normal.

"hey y/n?"

"what's up?"

"i was- uhm wondering if you wanna come round mine after school?" jaden asked almost stuttering.

"yeah, i'd love that" i answered followed with a warm smile.

AFTER SCHOOL

"cmon y/n, your coming back with me" jaden said snatching your away from maia and your conversation. she just stood there in shock.

"okay then😃" i said not really knowing how to react.

"we need to find javon" jaden said still dragging me down hallways

once you'd found javon you started making conversation

"so how far away d'you live?" i asked him.

"well, we usually drive home but my dads got the car and jayla's not in school today, so we have to walk 20 minutes."

"oh okay"

you guys said, starting a new conversation because the last one was boring.

about 15 minutes into the walk my legs starting aching so bad, considering i had pe earlier.

"ughhhhh" you groaned.

"what's wrong?" javon asked as him jaden looked back at me.

"my legs hurt so bad i had pe earlier AND dance" i said

"can we take a break or somethi-"

"no need, i'll give you a piggy back." jaden interrupted me. of course i accepted the offer, especially since it was jaden offering 🙈.

"whipped" javon muttered under his breath.

"shut up" jaden said slightly nudging javon.

i just smirked to myself, maybe he liked me too.

once you guys finally arrived at the house you and jaden went to his room.

"what do you wanna do?" jaden asked as he dropped himself on the bed.

"can we watch the sandlot?" you asked

"hell yeah we can" jaden said his smile growing as he reached for the controller.

"move closer" jaden said patting the spot next to him. you shuffled closer as his arm came round you resting on your waist. your stomach was swirling with butterflies.

i couldn't help but let my mind wonder, thinking about what it would be like if we actually dated. i mean lots of hate would come with it, i get hate for just hanging out with him.
i decided to stop thinking about it and just pay attention to benny rodriguez instead 😏.

you guys were halfway through the movie, your head was rested on jadens shoulder in attempts to try get comfy.

"y/n" jaden said.

"yeah?" you said looking up at him.

"i have to tell you something" he said shuffling around a bit.

"what's wrong?" you said sitting up and facing him.

"i like you." your heart beat sped up as the words came out of his mouth so bluntly.

"are you serious?"

"yes i'm so serious!" he said.

"shit, i like you too." you said smiling and attempting to bury your face in his chest so he would see that you were blushing.
