So who's who in my retelling of Cinderella, here's how I loosely assigned the roles:
Cinderella- Chieko Hori (duh)
Prince Charming- Mikey (also duh)
Evil Step Sow (Mom)- Kita Yashido
Step Sister- Shikha Yashido (but I wanted to take more of an Ever After approach with her character and make her kind to Cinderella)
Dead Dad- Akira Hori
Dead Mom- Do 'an Vien (not dead but a 'deadbeat')
Fairy Godmother- Do 'an Vien (I know I made a chapter title insinuating Senju as the fairy godmother, but tbh Do 'an Vien is the true fairy god mother since she provided Cinderella with the resources to make her dreams/goals a reality.)
Glass Slipper- the silver Honda motorcycle and the red helmet.
Pumpkin Carriage- motorcycles
The Grand Ball/Dance- the Taiyaki race
The Mice/Magic Tree/Nature Helpers- Takeomi Akashi and Senju Akashi (Cinderella has a butt load of interpretations for who helps out Cinderella during her chores and trials against her step family. In some interpretations it's kind little woodland creatures, in others it's a magical tree that grew from her mother's grave.)
Creepy Butthole Guy from Ever After- Shuji Hanma (don't get me wrong, I love reading Shuji fanfics all day long. And I wouldn't say he's as creepy or even as rapey as Pierre Le Pieu from Ever After, but they still have something similar to that dynamic. Even then their odd relationship wasn't even intentional, somewhere along the way I just started writing them as frienemies, kind of? Love/hate, where he has an obnoxious crush on her but she actually hates his guts and not even in a romantic way? Who knows, not me evidently.)
Lucifer the Cat fromWalt Disney- Taiju Shiba (I'd say he's like Lucifer since he lends his help, for a price, to the evil step mother.)

I kind of felt like doing this for fun since I was rereading Cinderella from my grandmother's old Grim's Fairy Tales book for inspiration and even a little guidance in my retelling. And Ever After is my overall favorite Cinderella retelling in case that wasn't already obvious.
