and there you stood on the red carpet for the avengers: endgame premiere, alone. sure you had your friends and family with you, scarlett, your sister, was a few feet behind and rdj, a father figure to you, a few in front but they weren't the same as your girlfriend
unfortunately gaga couldn't join you tonight
the original plan was for her to attend with you but she was stuck behind a couple more days filming for her newest movie. you were gutted, that was completely understandable, but you were always so supportive of stefi and her acting career so you didn't complain
what you didn't know was that gaga herself was driving to the event as you were posing for the numerous photographers screaming your name. she managed to cram all her scenes, take the earliest flight possible and get to your shared apartment where her dress was practically waiting for her, courtesy of scarlett herself. she wanted to surprise you.
but when you didn't even receive a 'good luck' it did hurt a bit. not a single text was sent your way
when she made it to the red carpet she stood at the start of it admiring you from afar, ignoring all who called her name. you were it, her focal point
your anxieties were as high as a kite so when the photographers did start to call her name you were none the wiser, solely focused on not throwing up or looking like a complete fool
it took your sister, who was of course involved in the whole suprise, placing a gentle hand on your shoulder to break you from the flashing lights
"i think you've got a visitor" she whispered into your ear, a smile on her face, whilst titling your head to look back down the carpet
there she stood in that silver dress and quite toned down makeup, your stefani. a huge grin etched it's way into your face. once your eyes met she blew you kiss, begining a slow walk towards you, not bothering to pose for anyone, she wasn't here for them she was here for you
that's all it took, you hadn't seen her in two whole months. so, forgetting the whole 'don't look like a complete fool' thing you ran, you ran towards your girlfriend without a care in the world
once the both of collided and your lips touched in the middle, it all stopped, the screaming around you became background noise like a scene from a cheesy romcom
"god i missed you so much, baby" she spoke onto your lips sporting a smile of her own
"i missed yo-" you tried to return the sentiment but before you could she slung her arms around your neck and brought you back down for slightly held back passionate kiss, after all you were still on the red carpet of the avengers: endgame premiere
"love you" you both said at the same time causing giggles to erupt
"c'mon lovebirds we've got a movie to watch" anthony mackie shouted from the other side of the red carpet
"right, best not keep them waiting, you know how sam gets when i don't give him updates about koji, asia and gustav" with that you pecked her lips once more and took her hand in yours, walking straight to the red carpets end, ignoring all the 'posing' and 'waving' you were supposed to do along the way
