"Jazmine staging an affair doesn't sound like the best course of action", Anthony said staring at her like she had two heads.

"No, not an affair," she said trying to clear it up. Just then she noticed Daff stand and start making his way to them. "Just make a reservation tonight, somewhere nice that we'll be seen together! I'll explain at dinner, okay."

"Jazmi-"

"Jaz, you about done?" Daff asked cutting in. He had a hint of annoyance in his voice.

Anthony sized him up as he walked over, a wave of disgust washing over him. He seriously started to consider helping Jazmine plot revenge.

"Yeah, I don't need to spend any more of his money." She looked at Ant with wide eyes pressuring him to agree to what she'd said before.

He sighed, looking over at the worker who was packing up everything. "I'll pay and help y'all bring everything to the car"

"We'll pull up for you," Daff said not even looking at him. "Let's go."

Jazmine thanked the employee and then followed him out. Once they got in the car, she put on her seatbelt and smiled. "That was nice of him."

"That shit was extra."

"You just can't seem to get along with any of my friends." Rolling her eyes she sat back and crossed her legs.

Daff scoffed pulling out and driving up to the front of Gucci. "You use the word friend too loosely. For real."

Just then Anthony and the employee emerged. They packed all of Jazmine's things in the backseat securely. Ant took a deep breath, thinking over Jazmine's request. Leaning down, he rested his arms on the open window of the passenger side.

She looked up at him with a soft smile that he couldn't help but reciprocate. "You're all set, Ms. Green"

"Thank you Ant", she said sweetly leaning forward in her seat. They held eye contact for a moment, having what felt like a whole conversation in just that glance. He gave her a wink of confirmation. "I'll see you tonight, then?" She added breaking the silence.

"See you then," Anthony said with a grin as he drew back, tapping the top of the car. "Get her home safe bro", he ordered Daff before walking off.

She sat back with a look of satisfaction. He was game.

"What the hell was that about?" Daff said out of nowhere. When Jazmine looked over she could see the concern written all over his face.

"What?"

"See you tonight," he said mockingly, furrowing his eyebrows. "You ain't seeing shit tonight."

"Says who?"

"Says me. Fuck is that even supposed to mean? Seeing him tonight for what?" He badgered.

"It is not like that," she said still holding back a laugh.

"Oh, you think it's funny?" He was seething.

"Daff, he's taking me out to dinner. That's it. Two friends catching up."

Shaking his head disapprovingly he said, "No he ain't."

They went back and forth like this the entire way home. She didn't back down once. It was set in stone and she made it clear he didn't have a say in it. He couldn't help but feel uncomfortable.

"How are you getting there?" He asked following her into the house.

"He's picking me up," she said carelessly.

"Jazmine." Daff stood in the foyer staring her down. She was seriously being unreasonable. "Did you hit your head?"

"No, but I'm bout to hit yours", she said waving him off. She didn't bother saying another word. Ignoring his disapproval, she snickered to herself disappearing into the bathroom. This was only the beginning.

Her phone pinged, and her face lit up. Anthony was in. He booked dinner at one of the most infamous restaurants in LA. She shot back a heart emoji and then started the shower.

He'd also told his publicist to tip off paparazzi. Sitting in his hotel, he thought over going through with this crazy girl's scheme. A part of him was hoping it would help her come to her senses. The other part was invested in the bullshit. These kinds of antics were on-brand for her; he hated to admit it but he missed it. He wanted to see how far it would go.

She showered, oiled up, did her make-up, and then her hair. When she came out of the bathroom she buzzed right past Daffyd into the closet.

As soon as he saw she'd gotten dolled up, he hopped to his feet following on her heels.

"I thought y'all were just going out to eat."

"We are." Her answer was short and sweet as she shuffled through her collection of cocktail dresses.

He squinted at her, feeling his blood boil. His hand went atop hers pausing her dress search. "Where the hell are y'all eating looking like that?"

"Il Cielo."

He stopped, cutting his eyes at her. He hadn't even taken her to a restaurant like that yet. A chill went down his spine and he folded his arms. "I don't like this Jaz."

"That's not my problem."

She picked out a golden bodycon dress. It shimmered in the light, but not in a cheap way. It was classy and stylish. "Perfect." She pushed past Daff, who brushed his thumb over his nose chuckling.

To him, she'd lost her mind.

He gave up protesting and went into the living room. If he didn't engage, maybe she'd cut it out. Let her go to her little dinner and have fun. He had nothing to worry about, right?

While she was getting ready, she let Diamond in on her plan. She'd expect Di to be against it and call her crazy, but Di had a motive of her own to support it:
All that time with Anthony might lead to something.

She approved, needing no convincing.

Some time had passed and Jazmine walked out of the bedroom looking like a model. When Daff turned around he took a hearty breath scanning over her. It made him sit up straight. He had to have been trippin' to fuck up on her. The message was loud and clear.

For a moment there he'd almost lost his cool, but he knew his woman. She was a good woman; Tone didn't stand a chance. She could go eat dinner with that nigga, but when she got home Daffyd planned on ripping that dress off of her.

"I'm out."

He watched her sway to the door, her curly hair bouncing with each step. "Have fun."
