Two Dialogue Challenge

Everyone is wearing 'that' gown that complements their colors so well, that killer hills, that hair, that eyes. Everyone is just so beautiful that it makes me want to cry.

The hall looks so magical with all of the hanging vines at the ceiling along with the oversize chandelier that will totally crush me if it falls. My friends are out there having a good time with their gorgeous dates, hanging out with new people from our school, and participating in fun activities.

While me... All left out. Well, I deserved this. I told my friends I don't want to hang out with them yet, not until I finished this chapter. That's why I'm right here, sitting in a corner watching everyone have a good time. I interviewed criminals for this mystery-thriller story. But still, it's all pointless as I stared at my plotter. My usual leather notebook, thick parts of it are obviously untouched cause I can't squeeze anything from my brain. I can't write anything, damn it.

I participated in this ball so I could gather pieces of information about what hap-

My eyes widened as I stared at the new arrival. His black angel-type masquerade mask compliment his exposed tough jaw and alluring lips that had- always drawing me in. It's always been as it is, smirking as if it's plotting something you never want to be done to you. Whenever where he is, there's trouble.

He throw me a look and I slowly turned away from his sight.

But before standing up, a scream filled the hall, coming where my back is turning. Followed by another scream, long and in pain until a gunshot. I don't want to turn to where the scream was coming from but I know I have to. Clearing my throat with a gulp, I turned my head in the direction and saw people running towards the entrance or the exit, people at the center started smashing things at the one who has the gunshot. I can't understand... Why... Why are they killing each other??

Blood filled the tiled checkered floor that was once pure immaculate white but now covered in crimson red. Some blood spilled somewhere as the girl in a blue dress holding some knife slit it directly at the vital neck of some boy. Some are smashing their enemies' heads on the floor.

It's a bloodbath... Everyone looks crazy.

Amid the chaos, one man stood calmly, smiling as he watches the scene. His left hand is in his pockets, his masquerade masks still intact with his face as he slowly approached the ruckus. In the middle of the bloodbath, violent scream, he picked up the gun that was laying on the floor and slowly let his finger slide through the muzzle and its hole.

A blood split across his cheek from the quarrel happening beside him, with that, he wiped his cheeks and slowly removed the mask from his face revealing how bad it'll make you feel to see his features. It can make you forget his dirt, can make you forget what violence he's making you do, or doing to you. Just because of that stupid carved from some greek god face!

I held my breath as he slowly walked towards me, blood still on his face making me think some lunatic is approaching me.

I stood there. All frozen.

I froze more as he raised his hands holding the gun and without hesitation pointed it at me. My eyes widened more, I felt something in me shaken, my hands, my guts, my heart sank, all at the same time.

My hands got sweaty as he slowly put his pointing finger ready to pull the trigger.

A loud sound of a gunshot echoed and filled the hallway, I scream frantically holding my ears as I feel it bleeding. But I held my hands and saw no blood, I was torn feeling miserable and relieve at the same time. I glance at my back, a boy lay down, blood spilled from his stomach, just inches away from his laying hands is a big golden trophy now covered in blood.

Before I could react, hands slide around my waist pinning me against his. His lips swiftly claimed mine for a few seconds, teeth-gritting my upper lips and I couldn't breathe. I stood there. Like a living corpse.

I raised my head to meet his eyes, mine is probably covered in fear that drew confusion in his face.

"S-Stefano... Why?"

A smile came to his lips, but to Stefano, his genuine smile is the same smile he does when he kills someone that it pounds fears in my chest.

He wiped his thumb at the side of my face probably stained from the blood in his face. He leaned on me, fanning his breath in my side cheeks until I felt his voice lingering in my ears.

"Here's your mystery-thriller story coming alive, Love. I'm one of a good boyfriend, right?"
