The two delinquent students fought against Deuce and a few times, had done some underhanded tricks to give themselves the upper hand but fortunately, he had quickly seen through them and was able to counterattack them.
In the end, it was Deuce who reigned victorious against his disrespectful seniors. "M-Maybe you're a little better than I thought..." the silver-haired delinquent said. "The pasta's getting all soggy, so we'll let you off for today!" the red-headed delinquent shouted as they ran off.
Alice took in a deep breath to calm her stressed nerves and ease her breathing. She felt grateful that things hadn't gotten any worse than they already were. "You okay, Alice-chan?" Kira asked, hugging her. Alice nodded. "Yes, I'm alright." she replied.
She was even more grateful that a teacher hadn't stepped in to stop them. Grim peeked over her shoulder and saw the two delinquents running away before he laughed out loud. "Heh! Those guys were all talk! Never show us your ugly mugs again!" Grim taunted.
Kira shot Grim a death glare. "You're the one who caused the ruckus, tuna breath! You're just lucky they didn't knock your teeth out, otherwise you'd be eating food through a straw!" she snapped, making Grim flinch.
"Even though we were just told not to get into any fights.... I'm just so glad it's all over." Alice said with a sigh. "Whatever, let's just eat. I even missed breakfast. If I have to go any longer without food, I might just pass out..." Ace theatrically sighed as he swung his arm around Alice's shoulders and walked over to the buffet.
Alice placed a hand on her grumbling stomach. "Me, too." she said. Having lunch sounds like a great idea right about now. As they were gathering their respective lunches, Deuce stayed behind a bit and stared into the direction the two rough students ran off in.
"We really have no luck. Given this is a prestigious school that's really hard to get into, the last thing I was expecting to come across was such cookie-cutter delinquents." Deuce sighed.
When he came to Night Raven, he thought he'd be finally away from those types of people. He thought he could finally have a better school experience when coming here. But as it seems... delinquents and bullies are everywhere no matter where you go. Always.
Now that the group had gotten their lunches, they sat at the nearest empty table they could find. When they sat down, Ace and Deuce were slightly surprised when Alice presented them each with a chocolate croissant and an iced latte.
