I signed and leaned back in the couch. Neo had been asleep that whole time and although she can't hear my conversation with Ranni, it still would have been awkward if she woke up and saw me intensely staring at the wall.

(Ladies, if a man apologizes for something that you don't think is a big deal, tell them that it's alright and forgive them. You don't realize it, but that release of guilt does wonders, even if it wasn't a big deal in your eyes. Oh, and if your partner is a known over thinker, then this shit is like a gift from god.)
