Dewdrop's POV
They ran into the tunnel, Dewdrop's heart beating fast.
"Do we know where we're going?" She yelled.
"Yes! We're going back to the Cavernwings. We have to get everyone out of here before the tunnels collapse!" Emerald yelled. He was running right next to Topaz.
BAM!!!
Dewdrop ran into Pine as he stopped abruptly.
"What's happening?" GoldSpot asked.
"I don't know." Elfin whispered.
"We ran into a wall." Pine reported.
"Why?" Hawker asked.
"Shhhh..." Topaz hissed.
"Are you two hearing that?" She asked Quartz and Emerald.
"Yes." Emerald sounded terrified.
"Unfortunately, yes." Quartz said.
"What is it?" Elfin asked.
"Don't freak out-" Topaz said.
"It's a wing-ripper."
"Whaaaaaaat?!" Elfin whisper-yelled.
"Shhhhhh!!!!" Hawker hissed.
They all stood silently, as the little light in the tunnel disappeared, and the cavern/CrystallineWings lit up their scales.
Rainbow light illuminated the cracks and fissures on the walls.
And the giant eye right in front of them.
Non of them moved for a second.
Then...
"Djchwhagvgjcgeuvwrwjkgkjhlhvdha!!!!" The Wing-ripper roared.
"This way!!" Someone yelled.
Dewdrop felt a talon grab her hand, and she and the others ran after the strange dragon.
The Wing-ripper turned around, and from the light glowing of the dragons strange scale patterns, she saw it looked like a giant eyeball, but with leathery skin, and strange skeletal bird wings.
Long tentacles flapped around it like limp seaweed.
It chased after them, tentacle-things pulling it forward.
"It can't fly!!!" The dragon yelled. "There's a chasm up ahead, get ready to fly!"
Dewdrop felt the ground leave her talons, and her wings caught the air instinctively.
Hovering, she looked around at the others.
They all looked ok.
She looked over at the new dragon.
He had red scales, wings, and underbelly, huge wings, and strange glowing rippling patterns on his back and tail.
The strangest thing about him though, we're the gills lining his neck.
"What are you?" Elfin asked, voicing Dewdrop's thoughts.
"I'm a SeaWing-SkyWing hybrid, but you wouldn't recognize my tribes. I'm not from this continent." The dragon flew over to the other edge of the chasm, and landed.
The rest followed.
"What continent? I thought there was only one." Quartz asked.
"I'm from a continent called Pyyrhia "
He said, flicking his tail around his talons.
"My name is Seagull. May I ask who you are?"
"I'm Dewdrop."
"I'm Hawker"
"I'm Quartz."
"I'm Emerald"
"I'm Topaz."
"I'm GoldSpot."
"I'm Elfin."
"I'm Pine."
"It's nice to meet you all!" Seagull said.
"Let's all rest here for a bit, then we can get you back to the Cavewings!"
"CaveWings?" Echoed Quartz.
"Yessss... CaveWings... that is what you three are called, right?" Seagull looked confused.
"Uhm. Nooo... I'm a CavernWing, and these two are CrystallineWings." Quartz said.
"CrystallineWings..." Seagull muttered. "That's a mouthful to say."
"It really is. Hard to write too, on tests." Emerald agreed.
"Hold on." Pine interrupted. "Who are you? Why did you save us? How long have you been here?"
He walked over, sitting next to Hawker.
"I'm Seagull, (I said that already), I saved you because no one should get killed my the Wing-Ripper, I'm.... not sure how long I've been here... I can't really remember." Seagull informed him.
"You really should be more grateful. I did just save your life."
"Thank you." Pine said "I still find him suspicious." He told Elfin and GoldSpot.
"I don't really trust him either." Dewdrop heard GoldSpot say.
"At least there's someone who agrees with me, even if they are a HiveWing."
Pine said.
Emerald and Hawker were chatting about something, when a blue glow shown from each of their bags.
"What...?" Hawker asked. He reached into his bag and brought out a glowing blue stone.
Emerald reached into his and pulled out the stone he'd shown Dewdrop and GoldSpot earlier.
"Oh my Stars." Seagull whispered. "Those stones..."
"They're glowing." Elfin noted.
"Yes, and also- put them together!" Seagull said.
"Whhhhhyyy?" Asked Emerald.
"I don't know- I just have a feeling..." Seagull said.
Hawker and Emerald put the two pieces together.
For a moment nothing happened.
Then...
A flash of bright light burst from the gem, blinding all the dragons in the tunnel.
When the light faded, they were all gone.
