Your Pov

"Sally! You're way too fast! I can't keep up!" I protest as I chase her through the trees with a laugh. "Come on! I'm not nearly as agile!"

"You gotta catch me to win the game!" She calls with a laugh.

I groan softly but continue chasing her through the trees, laughing when I nearly catch her but somehow she manages to slip away.

"Sally! It's cheating to use your powers!" I protest with a laugh when in nearly run into a tree after she just phases through it.

"Nuh-uh! You said no rules!" Sally laughs, grinning at me as she bolts again.

"Not playing a fair game?" Slender asks, suddenly appearing beside me as I rest against a tree with hard pants.

"Nooooo," I groan softly. "How long have we been playing?"

"An hour now," Slender chuckles. "She'll let you win when she tires out."

"When will that be?" I groan with a shake of my head.

"Who's to say," He hums out, kneeling down and giving me a quick kiss. "I'll see you at the finish line."

"Slender!" I protest as he teleports away, groaning as I begin making my way through the trees to find Sally again.

When she found out we had made up and that I still wanted to see not only Slender but her as well, she insisted on play dates every single weekend. This was sixth weekend in a row we were having our play date, and I loved every single minute of it. I've occasionally met a few of the other pastas but not very many of them yet. Slender said something about not overwhelming me but I'm sure another part was to make sure things were working and going smoothly first. I work through the trees as I search for Sally, freezing when the hairs on my neck suddenly stand up. I quickly scan the area but I don't see anyone or anything, just more and more trees. Just as quickly as it came it's gone but I'm left unsure and worried, constantly scouting the trees as I try to find Sally. I try not to panic but I want to find her as quickly as I can, beginning to run through the trees in search of her.

"Sally?! Sally!" I call out as panic begins to set in.

Where was she?! Was she hurt?! Did Slender at least know where she was?! My breathing becomes ragged as I stumble through plants and over tree roots, too panicked to even try and be careful. I yelp when I catch on a tree root and fall forward into a bramble bush, whimpering in pain as the brambles pierce my skin. I carefully push myself up and sit back on my bottom. I look over myself and wince at all of the pokies covering me. Damn, this is painful.

"Y/N?! Are you okay?!" Sally cries when she comes to me, my eyes wide and blurry from tears I didn't know I was shedding.

"Y-Yeah. I tripped," I laugh, holding out my arms that are getting a bit bloody. "Can you get Slender?"

"Already here. Come on, let's get you patched up," He says gently, scooping me into his arms before offering Sally a tendril to hold.

He teleports us back to where we were having our picnic, getting me set down before going to the small backpack I kept on me at all times. He finds tweezers, wrap bandages, bandaids, and some hydrogen peroxide before pulling me into his lap. I frown as he and Sally begin gently plucking the brambles from my skin and clothes, my head down in shame. Great, I was just causing them trouble. Why did I have to freak out like that?!

"Y/N, it's okay! I've done it before," Sally chirps, crawling into my lap and grasping my cheeks so I was looking at her. "The good thing is you came prepared and now we don't have to stop our picnic! Plus I was getting tired and hungry."

"Well, I wouldn't want you to starve now," I tell her with a smile. "You should have said so. We can just pause the game you know."

"There, all better," Slender hums once I'm all fixed up, looking up at him.

His mouth was visible and he's smiling down at me, a soft smile coming to my lips as well. He leans down and gives me a gentle kiss before I move to sit next to Sally while Slender dishes up the food I had prepared. We all happily dig into the food, Sally running off to find something once we're all finished. Once she's out of sight Slender turns to me.

"Are you okay?" He asks gently.

"I thought I felt someone. Everything just stood on end but I couldn't see anyone. I was so afraid they'd get to Sally or even you. It came and was gone in a matter of seconds! I just.....I don't know," I sigh, pressing into him when he pulls me into his lap.

"It's okay. There was no one here. I can easily detect any presence in my forest. Perhaps it was because you lost Sally for so long?" He offers as an explanation.

"It's possible," I agree with a nod of my head. "Things are just different now with the two of you. I don't want to have to leave."

"You don't have to leave," Slender tells me. "We can all protect you."

"I know you and Sally would but what about the others? I'm just a human who happens to be dating you. If I did something against you none of them will hesitate to kill me," I point out.

"Well, some of them but they'll warm up to you," He explains with a chuckle. "I promise everything will be okay. Don't stress yourself too much okay?"

"Okay," I tell him with a smile.

"Y/N!!!! Look what I found!" Sally calls, holding put a bouquet of daisies that barely fit into her small hands.

"Sally, it's beautiful!" I gasp. "Hang on! Let's get a cup!"

I quickly grab one of the solo cups and fill it with water before letting Sally put the flowers inside. I smile and take a deep inhale of the daisies, happily holding them in my hands as I smile at her.

"You really like them?" She asks hopefully.

"They're amazing. I've never gotten flowers before," I tell her. "It's my first time ever."

"What?! No one has ever given you flowers before?!" She gasps before turning to Slender. "Daddy! What are you doing?! You're supposed to get her flowers!"

"W-Well.....I....?!" He trails off, his face bright red.

"It's been too long since he's dated. Cut him a little bit of slack," I giggle softly.

"Hmmm, only cause Y/N says so," She huffs, crawling into my lap and snuggling up to me.

"Of course," Slender huffs with a soft chuckle.

I smile and gently lay back on the picnic blanket, Sally happily laying on my chest. Slender watches us both carefully before he lays down as well, a happy purr escaping him as he grasps the hand that wasn't gently stroking Sally's hair. I sigh happily and close my eyes, gladly basking in the sunlight. This truly felt like heaven right now. Slender's thumb ribs gently circles on my hand as we all just enjoy the peacefulness of a lazy afternoon. I close my eyes and just enjoy the warmth of the sun and the happy feeling these two creatures brought me. I truly felt like I was at home and content for once in my life.

Was this how my mom and dad felt with each other? Even though they had to run they always seemed so in love and it never mattered where we were from what little I could remember. Even on the street as long as they had each other they were happy as could be and from the pictures I had of the three of us those smiles only got bigger. You know how I'm some pictures the smiles never show through because it's clear they're fake? It wasn't like that when it came to the pictures I have of my parents. They were both always so happy, smiling, and enjoying life even if they were constantly on the run. That's what I wanted. Someone who could smile with me even through the darkest of days.....
