Eli's eyes adjusted to the morning light, with a groan he turned over on the couch and pulled the blanket over his eyes.

"Uncomfortable, eh?" a voice spoke.

Eli sat upright, he removed the blanket from his face.

Chozen was sitting on the opposite sofa with a drink in hand.

"Are you ok?" he continued.

"I'm fine," Eli replied.

"Why are you on the couch?" Chozen continued.

"Sam is in Lainey's bed."

"Oh?"

"It's a long story."

"Mr LaRusso wouldn't let you upstairs?" Chozen mused.

Eli's face reddened. "No, it's not like that."

"I'm only teasing," Chozen mused as he got up and exited the room.

Eli chuckled lightly. His tension was relieved when he felt Lainey's arms wrap around his shoulders.

"Good morning," she whispered as she placed a kiss against his temple.

He tilted his head to see her properly.

"Good morning," he replied with a smile as she walked around the couch and sat beside him.

"Did you sleep alright?" Lainey asked.

"Did you?"

"It was okay."

"Anthony told me what happened."

"He told me he wouldn't." She frowned.

Eli grabbed her hand. "He only told me because he cares, Lainey."

"I know."

"You need to realise we're all here for you."

Lainey nodded. "I appreciate that."

"How are you feeling about today being the day?"

"Huh?"

"Therapy."

"Oh." Lainey nodded. "It's long overdue."

"I'm coming with you."

Lainey smiled. "I appreciate it so much."

"I'll drive too."

"You won't be allowed."

"Princess, I don't care."

"Are you sure?"

Eli nodded. "I can break a few rules for you, can't I?"

"Oh, so you're going to drive my car?" Lainey asked.

"Unless we take Sam's to be safe?" Eli joked.

Lainey laughed lightly.

"I love it when you're happy," Eli stated as he cupped her face gently. "That's all I want."

"I'd better go and get ready," Lainey stated. "What about you? Where's your stuff?"

"In my backpack."

"Okay, well you can come up to my room now Sam's gone."

"Gone?"

"She went out with mom this morning."

"I didn't hear them?"

"You were probably tired. You look stressed, are you alright?"

"Princess, I'm fine. You're my main concern."
