Claire

"I-I umm.."

"A witch?" With the pitchfork directed towards my face, he seemed eager to kill me. I mean the witches in the past were threatened and later hanged.

"No! I'm lost!" I yelled. "How am I witch, huh?"

"Your clothes look peculiar." He says. Of course, I'm from the future. Now it makes sense why I was called a witch. "Put down the pitch fork and I can tell you I'm not a witch."

"I've been deceived and lied to, never again!" He exclaims. I rolled my eyes and did the unthinkable—pierced my left palm into one the teeth of the pitch fork. He screamed in shock, "Why did you do that?!"

"For you to stop," I could feel the sharp pain running from my hand to my arm. He slowly removed my impaled palm and quickly wrapped it with some cloth from his pocket. "You're not a witch, you're just plain crazy!" He mumbles.

I watched him wrap my palm. He's Felix but as a gardener in the 1800s. "Done." He said shyly as he tied a square knot. "Thanks?"

"Johanne." He said shortly. He goes by another name as well and a thick accent from the north of England. I pursed my lips and looked at him, "I'm sorry to ask but what year is it?"

"1889 miss."

Was I sent back in time? what kind of isekai novel is this now?!

"Huh?" I plainly stared at him. He knitted his eyebrows together. "Are you perhaps from the East?" He asks. I shook my head and reminded myself this was a simulation of my memories. "N-No, I just forgot where I am."

"Umm," Johanne puts his hands in his pockets. "You're in the Decelis Manor."

Decelis? Isn't that a prestigious academy somewhere in Grassmere? It seems like I've been transported to England for some reason that I can't comprehend but for the sake of the story, we're going through this. He let out a sigh, "Come on miss, you might want to meet the lords of this manor—maybe they can help you."

I nodded as I followed him to a huge green house. It was filled with exotic plants and flowers. It was beautiful and mesmerizing to look at. Even in his past life, he still nurtures things that are beautiful. "For awhile, I need to arrange some new pots since new seedlings have arrived today. Master Jino had them ordered from the east."

He showed me a packet of the seeds he meant, Golden bell tree seeds. These blossoms upon the arrival of spring as I remembered. "He did say these bloom as a signal that spring is coming." Johanne says as he arranges the pots. "Spring, a season of rebirth."

"Sir Johanne."

We both turned to a male in a blue suit. "I see you've started.." He tool few steps closer to check on us. He took a glance at me and he looked worried. "Your hand?"

I hid my hand behind my back. It was also the time I noticed what I was wearing, a dark gray gown. "You wouldn't want to know about that." Johanne chuckled. He seemed to be a bay Lord—maybe the owner of this manor. Wait—Jungwon?! He stared right into me with concern but before he could say something..

"Lord Jakah it seems these seedlings needs to be planted on ground as soon they sprout." Johanne said as he stood up, dusting his hands. "I-I see." He replied in a rush.

"Sir Johanne, I believe Lord Christopher is at the lobby waiting for you?" Jakah or Jungwon said, nodding his head at the exit. "He is? Excuse me for awhile miss but this is Lord Jakah, one of the owners of the manor and I'm sure you can ask help from him." Johanne left us alone after that.

"Who is Jungwon?" He asks. "I have not heard such name."

"Anyway, why are you even here?" He relaxes.

"Huh? You know me?" I raised an eyebrow. "Clementine! Stop with the child play." He sternly scolds. Clementine? I swear to god I have no idea what he's saying but I know he's a vampire and can read minds. His eyes widen in a second and maybe got flustered.

"I.." I opened my mouth.

"Why are you behaving weirdly today?" He breaks his peace. "How did you even know.. about me being a cold one." He furrowed his eyebrows more.

"I never told you things even though you're my cousin."

"Cousin?" I repeated.

My vision began to spiral back and forth. I lost sight of Jungwon's look alike.

"Claire."

A muffled voice called out. My limbs were heavy as if I was drowning.

"Chaein."

It was Bang Chan for sure. I forcibly opened my eyes—my brother was looking paler than the usual. Beomgyu and Yeonjun stood behind him, worried as well. My whole body felt numb, I couldn't even lift up my head. I repeatedly blinked as I felt lightheaded. "She's responding sunbae." Yeonjun says, grabbing a small flashlight from his pocket. "May I?" He taps Chan's shoulder.

Chan scooted away for Yeonjun to hover the light in my eyes. "Eyes are slightly dilated, she needs some rest and a drink." He turns off the flashlight then looks at my brother.

"We can take her to our hospital atrium, she can rest and we can decide on what to do next."

"Okay." Chan agrees.

They took me to their hospital atrium in a wheelchair. I've gotten weird looks from the other agents. Chan had his hand wrapped around mine, I'm guessing he's worried as hell. Beomgyu pushed the chair along the way.

"Hello—Bang Chan?" There was a girl with a ponytail at the atrium, holding a clipboard. She might be the head person here. "Hello, Sakura. It's a been awhile." My brother smiled.

"You must be Claire? Chan's sister?" Sakura had an alluring presence.

"She just came from the interrogation chamber, she's here to rest." Yeonjun says. Sakura quickly opened the curtains covering a small space for the bed, bedside table and chair. "Just settle her here while I prepare her medication." She smiled as she went off.

Beomgyu and Chan helped me lay down on the white bed. "Chris." I called out weakly.

"Yes Chaerin?"

"Whe..Where's Felix?"

"He's with some Hybe agents. He'll follow us shortly-"

"Tell him I need some rest. I'll talk to him when I wake up. Please, I'm a bit lightheaded." I was feeling alright to be honest. I didn't want to see him for awhile—after what I discovered. Chan and Beomgyu exchanged glances before nodding. "I'll tell him to see you in a few hours. We'll be here if you need something." Chan says.

"Or us! If your brother's team is busy.. you have us here at Hybe too!" Beomgyu adds.

"Alright gentlemen, leave us be so she can rest now." Sakura came back with a small vial in her hand. The two nodded and left at her signal. "Hello Claire, I brought you meds for your condition—bet traveling down the memory lane was a nauseous trip." She gave me the vial.

"Don't get me started, my head throbs slightly today." I chuckled as I opened the vial and drank the whole thing. "I could tell it wasn't a pleasant one." She says. "But get some rest since our situation isn't calming too. I'm sure you're aware of the treasure hunt." She says I handed her the vial. "The royal family is going bonkers for a missing set."

"Yeah, my brother has been working really hard." I replied.

"So get some plenty of rest for tonight, I'll check in back in few hours." Sakura waved at me before leaving. I let out a soft sigh as I rolled over to the left side. It has been an exhausting day but I couldn't force myself to sleep.

i don't know what to do.
