Claire

I took a deep breath as I laid down on my bed.

Chan's explanation did not really help ease my mind. I didn't know my family is a working agent team. Top secret and no one knows well except for Felix and Minho. This explains my parents in and out travels every single month. Dad rarely comes home while mom is mostly at her office in the house.

"Don't even try explaining to Hannah and Lucas."

"What does that even mean?" I wanted to sleep but with all these thoughts, I'm afraid I need to do something to let out steam. I'm an over thinker and it's deadly. I sat up and it's freaking 2 in the morning. I suspect Chan being up at this hour but talking to him would make me raise another set of questions.

Like why was I not working like him?

But thinking about it hurts my head so I'll just chill out and never think about it. I changed into some dark clothes before getting out. I had to make sure Chan wouldn't find me first. I slowly took out my bicycle since Jeongin's house isn't that far and the location was just few streets away.

Few minutes, Jeongin opened his window with an annoying look at his face. I waved at him which made him sigh and went back inside. Guessing he's just changing his clothes.

"This is so odd but good thing I love you so damn much, Bang Chaein." Jeongin, now in his hoodie and sweatpants, glared at me. He took out his bicycle from the side of his house. "You better treat me for my second ice cream." He pointed at me as he rode on his black bicycle.

"Thanks for the confession, I love you too Jeongin." I winked as we began going to the 24/7 ice cream parlor shop.

-

"Something bothering you I can tell." Jeongin stopped eating his banana split. "You don't come to my house at 2 am and asking me to come with you to an ice cream parlor."

"Family. I just don't get why they're hiding so much from me." I looked at my melted cookies and cream bits. Jeongin looked confused but sighed. "Did they tell you what was really true?" He asks as he took another scoop of strawberry into his mouth.

"Chan did. I just need something calm myself, it's too overwhelming."

"Overwhelming?" Jeongin paused and looked at me. "Are you moving away?!" He looked like he was about to cry.

"Idiot! No I'm not!" What could possibly made him think that way? He let out a relieving sigh. "Oh, that's good." He chirped. Weird.

"I just thought because Chan hyung is getting famous with his tracks. He's never going to leave you behind also.." Jeongin is really innocent. I can't believe he's my best friend. "Jeongin, I'm not moving away." I said this because I want to reassure him that I'll never leave his side.

"That's what I want to hear." His smile was bright but then suddenly it faded as he saw something behind me. The warm aura he was emitting turned cold. "Jeongin?" I called out.

"Why are you here?" He asks the person behind me.

"Can't I like not have ice cream too?"

I turned around to find Felix, holding a cup of ice cream. I forgot that his house was near the parlor. "I assume that you're not following anyone?" Jeongin sounded different when he's talking to Felix. "I'm out of that scene. I would have not been alive until now if I did follow someone." The silver haired male chuckled. He looks at lot softer with his hair down not being swept up clean.

"Alright." Jeongin continued eating like nothing happened. "Alright indeed." Felix glares at the male before leaving the parlor.

Was he mad because he wasn't called hyung? I turned back to Jeongin. "He's just salty. I don't call him hyung anymore." He finishes up his banana split. I wasn't wrong. "He doesn't deserve it."

-

"Jeongin, did you fight with Felix?"

"I guess you can call it a fight." Jeongin chuckled as we walked our bicycles to my house. I looked at him as his smile disappeared on his face. Was it a bad fight? Jeongin doesn't show much emotions when he's hurt. Maybe he's enthusiastic mood was a cover up these days. How can I not know that by now?!

"Huh." He smirked as he caught me thinking alone.

"W-What?" I looked back at him, flustered.

"You got something in your mind?" He averted his gaze.

"Nothing really." I murmured as I got into my porch. Jeongin stood by the sidewalk as he watched me get inside. "Thanks for your time, I'm sorry if I had to wake you up." I ran back to the sidewalk after I put my bike away.

"Y-You had to apologize? Geez Claire!" Jeongin had his cheeks tinted in pink. "Why are you being shy now?" I punched his shoulder. Did that get sturdy there? He wasn't lying about working out. I moved away quickly.

"Ow! That hurts you know?" He rubbed the area where I punched him. "You should get inside before Chan hyung sees me and he might think I might start dating you."

"Are you kidding me? He's dead asleep before I left."

"Yeah, sure." Jeongin slowly rode back on his bike and pedaled fast like he was about to get killed for some reason. I turned around to find a man in his boxers while holding a ladle.

"CHRISTOPHER GET SOME PANTS ON!"

"Not until I talk to Jeongin!"
