On the way home, once they had taken the children, Sanem called Mihriban.

"Sanem? Daughter?" she immediately replied.

"Mihriban? Hello." replied Sanem.

"Who is that? Is it Grandma Mihriban?" asked Ates in the back seat.

"Yes, it's Grandma Mihriban." confirmed his mother.

"Hello Grandma!" she exclaimed loudly to be heard.

"Hello my chicks!" she greeted them softly upon hearing them.

"But where are you? I hear a big noise..." she said.

"We are in the car." replied Yildiz.

"Yes, we're on our way home." Sanem replied.

"Listen... I called to ask you.... it's been a long time since we had a girls' night... just you and me... would you be free tonight?" she asked.

"Here, if you already have plans with Aziz, don't worry, eh...let's make it another day." she said quickly.

"No, no, child. I'm there, indeed, you couldn't have asked me at a better time." she admitted.

"Aziz, he went to Istanbul on errands and stopped by Emre and Leyla to see Ilker. And I am currently in the camp spending some time, so I gladly accept." she replied.

"Perfect. See you at the loft then." said Sanem happily.

"Alright." she replied.

"See you soon grandma!" greeted the little ones.

"See you soon, my little ones!" she replied.

As soon as the driver parked, they were greeted by Can who came to meet them.

"Here they are, my beautiful family!" he said in high spirits, spreading his arms wide ready to embrace them all.

"Dad!" the children ran up to him.

"So?" he said taking them all in his arms and shoulders.

"How was school? Did you have fun at the grandparents'?" he asked.

"Yes! It was good!" said Yildiz.

"My friend went back to school." said Deniz all happy.

"Look, we drew you a picture at grandma's." said Ates.

"Ah, a drawing? Now I'm curious." he replied.

"But first... take your backpacks and help mummy carry things inside. We'll see the drawing inside. In fact, get them ready." he said.

"Come on. Run, run, run." he encouraged them.

Can picked up the work bag Sanem carried on his shoulder.

"Hello love, welcome." he greeted her with a kiss and a warm hug.

"I missed you so much." he said inhaling her perfume.

"You too. You don't know how much." Sanem said returning the hug.

Although always together even at work, that brief separation was pure physical pain.

Arriving at the end of the day tired and being greeted by his embrace for Sanem was like breathing again.

Can broke away from the embrace and looked at her, stroking her hair, making sure she was OK.

"I'm fine." she replied, knowing his gaze.

"The hand?" he asked.

Sanem showed him the stress ball. "It's always with me." she said pressing it.
