Chapter 28: ah shit.... here we go again

Kai's POV:

"Now that you are here... we will tell you a small story."

Acronix said with a dirty smile looking at me, I hugged Dio close and couldn't do what he said.

I felt my body freezing and my legs were in so much pain.

"W-what are you doing to me?!!"

"Oh just something to make sure you won't leave us in the middle of the story!"

The twins start getting closer to me while I tried moving but it wasn't working, the pain was getting worse by the second.

I looked at Dio in my hands and an idea comes to me. I throw him out the window to the garden and started yelling "GO GET MORRO!" he is my only hope now, if he won't come in time I will be gone!

"Morro? I haven't heard that name for years now. But I can see he kept his little promise."

"His little promise...? Wha-" "Oh well... That's a story for another time; we can't change the story that fast, can we?"

I looked around me find anything that can help me, I'm so stupid that I forget to take my katana with me.

Both of the twins glared at me "Where is the last time blade?"

I looked at them with confusion "Am i... supposed to know that?"

I honestly wasn't listening to what sensei Wu was saying but I'm sure he himself doesn't know... right?

Nya's POV:

We finally get the last vermillion and we were super exhausted, it was a very long fight though.

I looked around me but didn't saw my brother "Have any one seen Kai???"

I turned to the others worried if something happened to him while fighting but it turned out he was with us from the start.

"What?! Where is he then?!" "We don't know Nya, we tried contacting him but he is not answering till the moment."

I quickly checked his location and saw that he is so far from us "He's far from here; he is in Jamanakai exactly in... my parents old house? What is he-?"

"I heard the twins saying they're going there today, they're finally ready to take over their target like they promised the old couple."

We heard the snakes talking as if they are 'whispering' to each other; I went to them and held one of them by the collar "What target are you talking about? And what promise to the old couple?"

One of them looked at me very careful then he smiled "Oh you're the girl from the picture! You should be happy you're not the target and will live... not like that guy." They started laughing loudly and the snake girl tried shutting them up but I ordered Jay to cover her mouth

Cole held one of them toward the wall glaring at him "You have two seconds to talk or else you'll scream for your dear life."

We all stood close listening to what that thing will say "Fine, FINE! I will tell you everything! The twins have been hiding those two couples for years now to work for them. It turned out they have two kids a boy and a girl, the twins made them chose without knowing who or why. The two went for the boy not knowing he'll be our bosses' new target. After looking close the girl is the black haired girl over there, now the twins are trying to kill/murder and even torture the boy... who is supposed to be this girl's brother in front of the old couple eye because they deserve a very good show. They have been stalking him for a while now and they finally had the chance to get him. We're just here to distract you."

I looked at Cole terrified "W-what did you jus-"

I started running summoning my dragon; I need to save my brother before anything else. I flow as fast as possible to the old house, if something happened to my brother I will go crazy.

Not long after, I reached the place I quickly opened the front door and found nothing.

I started panicking "Kai, KAI WHERE ARE YOU?!" I run through the house searching about my brother tears in my eyes terrified of what I will find if I went deeper.

I saw the back door open and quickly went to the old shop yelling his name "BROTHER!"

Many thoughts come across my mind, what if I'm late? What if they took him, what if-

"HE'S SAFE!"

I heard from far a familiar voice coming from dad's shop and saw its door open wide, I ignored everyone's yells and just went inside looking for my dear brother.

When I get inside I saw Dio, Morro and Kai.

Kai was sitting in the ground looking at Morro, while the other gave him a small smile then turned glaring at the twins who were tied in the ground.

"KAI!" I run to his side hugging him so tight. It took him a while to hug me back since he was out of breath.

"Hey, it's fine..."

3rd POV:

Kai was out of breath; Morro came exactly in time to save him from whatever the twins were planning. They had to fight them and they won that fight with a miracle.

Morro helped Kai sit down to calm his breaths. Morro heard Nya screaming for her brother but couldn't move in case the twins will wake up again for Kai.

"HE'S SAFE!" He yelled for her to not panic more, the team came running to the shop and Nya hugged her brother as tight as she can.

"Hey, it's fine... I'm fine." He hardly answered her hugging her back "I was scared..."

He gave her a sad smile and rubbed her back "Don't worry, I'm good just... exhausted and out of breath." His voice was calm yet tired. He let go of Nya letting his body lie down in the ground with Morro sitting beside him.

"You're an idiot."

"I know..."

"You should be thankful I was around and Dio was with you."

"I know... and I am."

"Stupid... STOP GOING OUT TRYING TO KILL YOURSELF! THIS IS THE MILLIONTH TIME I SAVE YOU."

"Can you just...*deep breath* SHUT UP?! I HAD A WORK HERE I'M NOT THE ONE WHO... who..."

Slowly, Kai's body was giving up. He falls over his knees hugging his arms while looking at the ground.

Zane went close to him checking if he's injured "Are you hurt anywhere brother?"

Kai looked at him and mouthed a no to him; Kai looked around him and saw everyone looking at him in worry. Even Morro, he slowly stood up sighing looking at them "Hey, I'm alright. I just wasn't ready and didn't except them to be here when I come."

Lloyd went to his side and hugged him tightly "Why didn't you take anyone from us?" He started playing with her hair while sighing "I'm sorry for making you guys worry... I just couldn't bring myself to disturb anyone from their work just to come with me here... I thought I would end very quickly and just come home as if I didn't leave..."

"It's all good and shit not until we have to do something to these people. What are we gonna do with them?"

Morro said pointing at the twins "Let's take them somewhere else I don't feel safe here anymore."

"Yeah... I'm getting tired."
