Shy's POV

"𝑆ℎ𝑦..." I open my eyes and try moving but I feel really weak, "𝑆ℎ𝑦.." I try lifting my hand but feel too weak to move again, I feel someone rub my eye and turn my head up.

"Are you okay..?" Koii places his hand on my forehead, I close my eyes and then open them, "You're burning up" I feel myself get lifted up and I close my eyes.

It's happening again....

I open my eyes as I'm placed on something soft, "Shy?" Koii moves my hair off my forehead and I see them make a shocked face, "Whats....wrong..?"

I sound pathetic....

"Did your uhm....Scar used to be this big..?" Koii looks at me worriedly, "hm?" Koii looks at the side of the bed and grabs something, A shard of glass.

I look at my reflection and see my eyes go wide.

The withering has spread to almost cover the entire right side of my face...

"oh..." I lift my hand but before I can touch the scar, Koii grabs my wrist

I look at them and they look a little uneasy, "Are you...okay..?" Koii let's go of my wrist and walks away, I try to lift myself up but remember I can't move

I hear rummaging and then Koii comes back into view, "um....can i.." His face goes red, "Take your shirt off...?"

"What-" Koii covers their face with his hand, "I- your temperature- I mean- you're hot- its hot-"

I laugh and lift my hand a bit, Koii looks at me confused, "Help me...get up.." Koii grabs my hand and puts his other hand on my back

he helps get me to sit up and I turn my body slightly to the side, "Zipper.." I move my hair out of the way of the zipper

"Right...um..." I feel Koiis finger graze my neck and then he starts messing with the zipper, I feel dizzy as I feel the cold air hits my back

I lean back against the wall as Koii pulls my shirt off, I close my eyes

Cold air... feels nice..

"Holy shit..." I open my eyes and look at Koii staring at me, "What...?" Koii picks up the glass shard again and shows me my reflection

I watch my reflections eyes go wide again, The withering goes down my neck and half way across my chest, slowly making its way down my shoulder

"oh fuck...." I hear the trapdoor open and then see Koii turn around quickly, ".....did I interrupt something-"

"NO- NO- IT- ITS NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE-" Koii starts waving their hands around in defense

"Why are you so loud..." Koii turns back to me looking worried, "Sorry-"

"Sooo what is going on?" I see Evan walk over and then see the withering, "Holy shit-"

"Why didn't you tell anyone?" I look at Koii, who is staring at the floor, "I-"

Before I can say anything, I feel a sudden flash of pain. I lay down and shove my face into a pillow, I wrap my arms around my tail

"oh shit- are you okay?" I hear as Koiis voice starts to get muffled and starts cutting out.

Evan's POV

"What just happened-" I turn to my father and he looks too focused on Shy to hear me.

"Dad?" I put a hand on his shoulder and he flinches, he looks over and seems to calm down a bit

"...I uhm wasn't paying attention, I don't know what happened..." Koii walks away and I hear the water start running, "Um stay there I'll be right back..." I turn to him and nod, "okay..?"

I hear the trapdoor shut and then a few minutes later i hear a glass break, "What!-"

I turn to Shy who just woke up, "Hey calm down..." Shy looks at me but something doesn't seem right, "Shy?"

She looks confused, "Um...what happened to you..?" Shy looks behind me and I follow their eyes, "oh Dad, you ok?"

"ꀘꂦꀤꀤ..."

I turn to Shy confused, "What was that-"

I turn back to my father as I hear footsteps, "Dad?" Koii walks past me with a cloth in his hand and places it on Shy's forehead

"Who are you." Koii sits on the floor and puts their arms on the bed

"...ꎭꀤꈤꀷ.....꓄ꀍꂦꀎꁅꀍ꓄ꌚ....꒦ꂦꀤꏳꏂꌚ..."

"Voices?"

'Shy' smiles and wraps her arms around Koiis head, "ꀘꂦꀤꀤ!!...ꀘꂦꀤꀤ!!...."

Koii's POV

I feel my face get pulled to Shys chest and my face starts feeling warm, "ꀘꂦꀤꀤ!!...ꀘꂦꀤꀤ!!"

"Wha-" I put my hands on Shys waist to try to push then away, as soon as my hand touches their abdomen, she let's out a small whine.

Everyone in the room goes quiet.

I feel my face get warmer and my eyes wider, nobody speaks for a bit until I hear the trapdoor open, "I'm gonna grab some food from upstairs-"

Before I can say anything Evan closes the trapdoor and it goes quiet again

I'm pulled closer to 'Shys' chest, "can you let go of me..?" as soon as I say that she let's go

She smiles and pats the spot next to her, I hesitate before standing up and sitting next to them on the bed, as soon as I sit down they climb into my lap and cling onto me

"um...." I look down at him and sigh, their ear twitches as the trapdoor opens, "Oh it got worse." Evan walks over with a plate of fruit and a bowl of soup, "Want some

"Listen Evan, are you able to take care of her? I need to get home-" as I say that I feel a pull on my shirt, I look down at Shy and frown, "Nope."

"What- why!?" I look at Evan and he points to Shy, "Cause it doesn't seem like they're gonna let you leave."

I sigh and lean back against the wall behind me, "Do you know when this will be over?" I look at Evan who is shaking his head

I look at Shy and frown, "Do you maybe know of something that can help?" Shy looks up at me

"If it can help why would they refuse to use it?" Shy thinks for a moment and then shrugs, "ꅐꏂ ꀷꂦ ꈤꂦ꓄ ꀘꈤꂦꅐ."

I have a feeling this is gonna be a long day

I close my eyes and lean against the wall again, "Well I'm gonna leave the soup on this table, I'll be upstairs"

"alright..." I hear the trapdoor open and close, "ꀤ ꀎꈤꀷꏂꋪꌚ꓄ꍏꈤꀷ ꈤꂦꅐ...ꅐꀍꌩ ꌚꀍꏂ ꒒ꂦ꒦ꏂꌚ ꌩꂦꀎ ꌚꂦ ꎭꀎꏳꀍ...."

after hearing that everything goes dark.
