You see Mina was pretty, outgoing and funny on the spot. But she could also speak up for herself and had the confidence that Aiko desperately lacked.

"Hi girly!"
The blue haired girl said when she saw Mina.
She put her hand up and waved.
Her eyes dropped to Aiko and for a brief moment Aiko could see a look of annoyance that was quickly masked.
The other blonde girl barely spared Aiko a glance before looking back down at her phone.
"Who's this?"
She looked down her nose at Aiko.

Mina didn't seem to notice the girls immediate dislike of Aiko, or maybe it was just all in Aiko's head.

"This is Aiko Zhu! She's in my class and I invited her to hang out with us!"
Mina Pushed Aiko forward.
"This is Tris Snow! From class 1-B!"

"H-hi..."
Aiko said and the other girl smiled.

"Hello."
She said uninterested.
"So Mina! Where do you want to go first?!"
She said with a completely different attitude.
Once again, Mina didn't notice.

"I'm hungry."
The blonde girl said finally looking up.
She looked at Aiko with an eyebrow raised.
"Who's this?"

"I'm Aik-"

"I'm meeting Joshy in an hour so we should go ahead and actually do something."
The blonde girl interrupted Aiko looking back down at her phone while typing a message for her boytoy josh or "Joshy"

"OoooOoO how about Karaoke! There's a small place in the mall and they serve food!"
Mina suggested.

"O they have any vegan options? I cannot stand eating greasy food."
Tris said with an eyeroll and gag.

'Alright then...'

"I don't know! Let's go see!"
Mina skipped along and the girls followed, Aiko stuck behind the others as she fiddled with her bracelets.

Tris whispered something to the blonde girl while glancing back at Aiko, the blonde that was still glued to her phone snorted in response.

Anxiety crept up Aiko's throat and breathing became slightly harder when Mina disappeared from sight.
Aiko kept walking behind the girls from 1-B and stayed quiet. Counting the minutes before she could go home.
In an hour the blonde was leaving right? Aiko could last an hour! And that would be a reasonable time to leave.

Mina lead them to a karaoke club and took a seat at a table.
The girl hopped down and Tris took the seat next to her. The the blonde took the seat across from her.
Aiko sat next to the blonde and across from Tris, trapped by the two strangers.

She took deep breaths.
'This is fine! I'll be fine! People do this all the time right?'

A waitress came and took drink orders.
"Diet coke."
Tris said.

"Diet coke."
The blonde who's name was Kono Noriko said still typing.

"Strawberry soda!"
Mina said throwing her hands up in the air with a smile.

"Uh I'll have a w-water please."
Aiko said stuttering only once. She was paying for herself and didn't have a lot of money.
Anytime her and her mom went out she was always told to order water.

Tris looked at Aiko with an eyebrow raise.
"I only drink bottled water, tap water is literally discusting."

"Oh-"
Aiko said rethinking her order.

"Would that be all?"
The waitress said with a smile.

"Yep!"
Mina said and she took a menu.

'O-okay...'

"OoooOoO the sushi sounds good!"
Mina interrupted Aiko's thoughts.

Aiko took and menu and looked it over, the only thing she thought sounded good was the fried rice bowls that were right in her price range.

So with her order decided she tuned back in to the conversation.
A ding came from Tris's phone and she rolled her eyes and turned it off.
"Sorry, my followers are always blowing up my phone."
She complained.

"Like Instagram followers?"
Mina asked and Tris nodded.

"Yeah, that and TikTok. I'm actually an influencer."
She bragged.

Aiko pirked up.
An influencer? Maybe they have something in common!
"How many followers do you have?"
She asked and Tris flipped her hair. Ego feed.

"Almost two thousand."
She said Aiko smiled.

'So she's like a small influencer! We all have to start somewhere!'

"What kind of content do you post?"
Aiko asked again and Tris shrugged.

"Makeup tutorials and dance videos. In actually very popular you've probably seen me on your for you page."
She answered sipping her drink.

'Well no but that doesn't matter!'

Mina nodded.
"That's so cool! I have a thousand but I don't post much..."
She said and then the girls looked to Aiko.

"What about you?"
Tris asked looking Aiko up and down.

'four million-'

"Oh none, I have a private account..."
She said sheepishly.
Aiko Zhu had a very unused private account she used to keep up with friends and family.
Well just family actually.
She didn't have many friends.

But that could change!

"Ooh... That's cute I guess... Hey you guys should follow me! That is if you don't already."
Tris said and Aiko and Mina nodded.

"It's Tris_snow58 on Insta and Tr!ssnowbear on TikTok."
She said.

Aiko pulled out her phone quickly switching accounts and typing in the user.
Sure enough Tris_snow58 had one thousand and eight hundred followers.

"I did!"
Mina said.
"You're literally so pretty I can't!"
Mina giggled and Tris smirked at the complament.

"I-i did too."
Aiko said clicking the button and looking at the pictures.
Then she looked up the TikTok, once again making sure to switch accounts.

Tris posted dancing videos and makeup tutorials clearly shot on her phone. Aiko internally cringed at the few videos that she was out if focus or where the camera was shakey but overall she had good quality.

"OMG thanks girlies! Maybe me and you could take one together."
She said turning to Mina.

"Yes that sounds awesome-"

"Are you guys ready to order?"
The waitress said spawning beside the table.

"I what the house salad with no croutons and the dressing on the side."
Tris said.

"I want the house salad with the dressing on the side and no croutons."
Noriko said.

'Thats the same thing-'

"And for you?"
The waitress turned to Aiko and she realized Mina already ordered while she was thinking.

"Oh! U-uh the- the uh fried rice bowl with um.. chicken?"
Aiko said clearly caught off guard.
Tris covered her mouth but her snickers were seen by Aiko.

The waitress asked another question but Aiko couldn't hear it.
"Y-yep."
She answered praying it would work.

The waitress walked away and Tris let out a deep sigh.
"Oh my god I hate ordering at restaurants. My anxiety makes everything too much! It's just so embarrassing!"
She complained and Aiko blinked.

"What! You did fine! You could barely tell!"
Mina assured her friend patting her on the back.

'I wonder if she's diagnosed? That's rude I ask do I won't. She doesn't seem like it but everyone handles that stuff in different ways right?'
Aiko thought.

"I'm gonna put my name down to sing! You guys coming with?"
Mina asked, Noriko shrugged and stood up. Putting her phone in her pocket for the first time all day.

"Whatever."
She said and walked with Mina leaving Tris behind with Aiko.
