you hear the front door slam open and feet thump upstairs.
"marry me" jordan says smiling at you from the foot of the bed. "what?" you say laughing and sitting up.
jordan jumps on the bed and crawls on top of you. he kisses your forehead, eyes, nose and lips.
"marry me" he repeats smiling widely at you. you look at him so confused, where did this come from?
"marry you?" you say not being able to contain your smile.
"i had a great practice today..." he says in your neck. "aaandd?" you reply rubbing the back of his head.
"i blocked steph's shot, you should have seen me baby." he looks down at you cheesing, "and thennnn, we got chick fil a after practice."
all you can do is laugh, he's so excited by the simplest things. "you know i loveeee chick fil a," he continues. "jordannn" he's teasing you and he knows it.
"okay okayyyy. well then on the way home i thought about how blessed i am to come home to you"
you smile and try to cover your face. "nah nahhh lemme see that smile girl" he says moving your hand.
you smile at him and playfully roll your eyes. "of course i'll marry you" "as if you had a choice" he responds biting your bottom lip.
jordan lays his head on your chest and you stroke the back of his head. it's the perfect moment.
the sun is setting outside and the pink, yellow and orange hues float through the room.
"of course you don't have to marry me now, i don't even have a ring for real" "well i assumed you didn't since you ain't pull one out" "i'm gonna ask you again but i'm not gonna tell you when"
you slap his back softly, "jordan poole. you better not propose to me every time you have a great day" "and why can't iiiiii" he responds whining.
both of you laugh then you push him off of you. "get away from meee" jordan grabs you before you roll away. "and where you going wifey?"
