chapter 14

Dylan's p.o.v

I stood outside the coffee shop waiting for Amelia to show up but she never did I decided to go back to the house. "Tom I need to speak to you where are you?"seconds later Thomas entered the room "whats up?"he blurted I watch his smile grow on his face as we greeted each other and that was it I couldnt tell him I couldnt be the reason for his smile to fade "urm i'm going to Amelia's wanna come?"

"sure why not!"tom answered whilst grabbing his coat.

Thomas decided he wanted to drive so I had to to sit back in my seat and let my thoughts play in my head. I sat there in my own world and I couldn't help but think about that girl today why would she say that and how did she now Alana? we arrived outside Amelia's for some reason my belly turned and I felt really sick but I needed to see Amelia I needed to tell her about Isabel I needed her help.

Amelia's p.o.v
After Sophie called and warned me about how she couldnt distract Dylan and he was heading for the cafe. I freaked out I couldnt let Dylan see her not now anyway hes only just gotten over her. I decided to invite her back to my house to have a proper catch up "so what brings you back to america?"I questioned I actually still don't know the real reason why shes back "well I actually missed it here" she replied in a confident tone but that only means one thing and thats shes hiding something. I could tell there was more to it but I never bothered asking "so maze runner?"

"yeah sure!"she squealed I went into the kitchen to get some snacks when I heard a car pull up outside suddenly there was a knock at the door "Ill get it" she yelled
I went back into the living room waiting for Alana to return but instead in came a very pissed and frightening Dylan

"What the hell is she doing here!" He yelled whilst dragging Alana along with him "look Dyl I'm sorry can we just talk?"
"Pfft NO way!!" He said in between a sarcastic giggle "what makes you think I would want to speak to you and Amelia how can you just let her back in like nothing has happened? Why the fuck did you come back why?" He stormed off slamming the door behind him "Dyl wait!" I shouted as I began to run after him
"Amelia shall I go I am the one who caused all of this"
"Don't you think you've caused enough shit"I said as I ran out into the cold. I ran down the street the wind was blowing against me which slowed me down but finally I found him at the end of a small alley way "why did she come back Mi?"
"I don't know but I think there's something she isn't telling us" I said whilst sitting on the ice cold ground a few minutes later I was joined by Dylan "look dyl I have had time to let things sink in but when I recieved that text from Alana I was really angry after all this time she finally decides to come back but then I realised I finally have my best friend back!"
"I still love her but I can't let myself fall for her again!"Dylan said leaning back on the wall.
"I know it's hard but we have to work through this we need a fresh start and you do realise she will be a part of it"

Alanas p.o.v
Watching Dylan kick off and walk out really hit me. This must off been the pain they felt when I left I didn't realise it would affect them this much but as soon as those words escaped amelias mouth I found my self on the floor crying to myself, why was I so selfish how could I cause so much pain. I looked up to see Thomas looking at me but as soon as I met his glaze he looked away "Tom I'm sorry!please just look at me!" I stood up to face Thomas but he just turned his face once again "I can't look at you because every time I do the memories flood back, yeah the memories of my best friends crying in my arms because of you!" Thomas cried
"Hes right isn't he why did you come back?why now?" Thomas yelled
"Because I had to protect Amelia!"I blurted Tom's eyes widened "what! What do you mean what's going to happen to Amelia?" Thomas was starting to freak out. I put my head into my lap as I explained to him about Scott and the way he treated Amelia and how I bumped into him when I returned to the UK I sat back in my seat as I replayed the memory in my head

It was a dark night and I was walking home "I heard Amelia isn't coming back what a shame!"the sound off his voice sent shivers down my spine "it's all because off you, your a prick Scott!" I said but he gripped onto my wrists "listen hear you stupid bitch you don't get it do you. I will get her back no matter what happens I have claimed her and you know what that means don't you and you know I get what I want so you best warn your little friends back in America to back off because she's mine!"
"You won't touch her just leave her alone!" I managed to escape his grip and I turned and ran and didn't stop.

*end of flash back*
"That's why I came back I can't let that monster near her" I looked up to see Thomas leaving the room "where are you going?"
"I have to find dylan"
"But please promise me Tom you won't tell Amelia if she finds out she will leave and we will never see her again" he just nodded and ran out the door.

Thomas' p.o.v
As alana told me everything about Scott I completely lost it I couldn't let anyone hurt her! why would anyone want to hurt her? I ran out off the house and out into the cold dark streets and just kept on running until I realised what am I going to do I can't tell Amelia or she will disappear and I couldn't live with that but we have to do everything we can to protect her from that bastard I ran past a dark alley way when I heard laughing I looked closer to see Amelia and Dylan. I stood there and the smile reappeared on my face as I watched Dylan holding Amelia in his arms as they laughed with each other and then that's when it hit me that she's already safe and as long as she stays with us she always will be.
