Leona grabs your wrist that holds your nichirin blade, punching your side then kicking at your knee. You fall over and Leona kicks at your head. You move out of the way just in time, but you had to let go of your nichirin blade to do so.

Leona lifts you up by the collar, the ink monster behind him, which is a fucking lion (who would've guessed), lifts its won arm and merges it with Leona's. The arm becomes encased with ink, increasing in size and then you're thrown across the fucking Magift field.

"O—AOW!!! BULLSHIT!!!"

Ace widens his eyes, "Woah, did you see that?"

Deuce deadpans, "How would I have missed that?"

This is so humiliating. You don't mean to suck so much ass, but you completely underestimated Leona's speed! And you're not talking about the lion-looking ink monster, either. Leona himself is just faster than you, that you can't even get past him to destroy the ink monster.

You're sure if you can just get in one hit, then it'll be over. The ink monster this time around already looks close to falling apart.

You push yourself up, groaning at the pain that is fading quickly.

Curses; there's sand in my shoes.

This uniform isn't great for combat; you wish you had your Demon Slayer uniform instead.

"Aren't you supposed to be the fighter, [Y/n]?!"

"Shut up, Ruggie!" You snap, glaring at the blond from across the field, "I'm doing the best I can!"

Riddle and Cater had left to help take the wounded outside the area, while Lilia had gone to get help from the faculty. All that was left were you, Grim, Tinkerbell, the ADeuce Duo, Jack, and Ruggie.

As per your request, you asked the others who stayed behind to stay out of your way. Ruggie, Tinkerbell, and Jack were offering you support, giving your magical boosts or momentary distractions towards Leona.

You don't think you're better than everyone else, or that you're the only one who's capable of handling Leona. You just don't want them to get hurt if you can help it. Venus can heal you, so you might as well limit the injuries to only yourself.

"I just need to increase my speed," You mutter to yourself, "I just need to be faster than Leona... for just a few seconds..."

Your nichirin blade is getting buried under the sand that Leona is continuously creating from nothing. Your other friends-Ace, Deuce, and Grim-they were also trying their best with their magic, but it couldn't reach Leona since he could deflect the magic like nothing. Not only that, but everyone is still affected by the dry ass air.

You push yourself up, feeling the bruises on your side and knee heal thanks to Venus. You run at Leona, dodging left and right at the fires that Leona shoots out to you. It catches you anyway occasionally; your arms and legs burn for a moment before they heal right up again.
