You actually had a very productive day off today! You and Sekido spent a lot of time cleaning (without the help of his Blood Demon Art this time {when you weren't looking anyway}) up the lounge and kitchen. Living with a bunch of dudes meant that your space was easily dirtied because they're a bunch of slobs. Afterward, you did a quick study session while Sekido was being a pal and started reading those weird files you had.

If you don't remember, which is understandable, during the last Ghost Hunt, you got your ass ate and without your consent, too. While your masochistic friend, Kaiko, was scouting one of the rooms in the house, he found a bunch of random bullshit that he thought looked suspicious enough to yoink. You only managed to translate some of the texts when you last read them.

"Dhoulmags the Mage" and "Curse of Dhoulmagus" were all you could read, and frankly, it was ominous as fuck. That's why you're getting your buddy Sekido to do it for you! Sweet, sweet buddy Sekido...

Your buddy Sekido...

He's letting you take the time to decide what you want to do. Whether that takes a few weeks or even months, he said he was more than willing to wait. Your first thought was to bring your dad and your siblings to you-here in Twisted Wonderland. You would gladly accept your Princess status so they could be housed in the castle and live rent-free just so they can be with you again.

Unfortunately, it's not that simple. They'd have to get legal identification if they ever want to travel or even get a job (you know your dad would absolutely want to become a teacher again since his heart is big and he loves to inspire kids to be better). That would be very hard to explain how they suddenly exist in this world without any prior records.

Not to mention, your siblings have families and close friends of their own. No, they don't have any kids, but your oldest brother, Adam, is planning to have a little family with his wife. Johnny, Rachel, and Mark are married too, and their spouses have families of their own they can't just abandon. Karina, Kika, and Oscar have partners as well, while David is engaged. Your father has a partner too, though you're pretty sure that was only a recent thing.

Still, your family's entire life is in their world. You can't just interrupt that because of your selfish desires. It's not as easy as bringing them here, and you can't just leave your gradually growing life here either.

As for the other option of going back to Demon Slayer...

You tear up as you're finishing up dinner preparations for the boys once they come by after school.

You don't know if you can go back there in good conscience. To them, surely they have already mourned your passing. They might've already come to acceptance that you're gone, and your showing up suddenly would cause too much pain and confusion to your friends.

You do wish you could give them a proper goodbye at the very least, though. Your family from your world and friends from Demon Slayer, you mean. If you can't bring yourself to completely say goodbye to your new life, then you want at least a proper farewell so they know you're just fine.

That's certainly something to think about for the time being at least. It's easier than deciding on a permanent change, anyway.

You turn off the oven and open the door to check on the lasagna. It looks and smells done, which is perfect since school ends in about five minutes. It should still be hot and fresh by the time the others get here. You close the door and look out the kitchen window with a hum.
