The lan family alongwith jiang-wei's decided to hold a private ceremony in the main hall with their close friends and relatives. And in Evening they will hold a feast for the clan members.
Currently, it is morning and servants are seen to be preparing for the ceremony with cangse sanren, yu-ziyuan and madam lan watching over and instructing them. Lan mei and cangse sanren was too happy to control their smiles. They were smiling brightly.
And why would they not? They are sworn sisters, but now their sons love each other and are going to be engaged. Cangse has a gist of wei-ying being fated and if he is, then lan zhan has to be with him. On thinking of her baobei, she felt sad on leaving him, but she is determined to protect him.
Wei changze has informed Cangse about the search the wen's are conducting to find the fated ones. She has to confirm about wei ying and lan zhan being fated. That's why she had invited her in gusu for engagement as well as to talk with her.
Qingheng-jun and lan qiren were in the main hall, when a disciple informed them anout the arrival of Nie's. They alongwith jiang fengmian and wei changze went to greet them.
"Sect leader nie, good to see you again" qingheng-jun greeted
"Sect leader Lan, Grandmaster lan" Sect leader nie greeted back
"Good to see you too Sect leader jiang and master wei" he continued
"Sect leader nie" they greeted back
"Qingheng-jun, what's with the sudden invitation? You didn't even stated that whose engagement it was you were talking about" sect leader nie asked after greeting
"Let' us go to yashi first. I will explain on the way" Qingheng-jun stated
In yashi
"We are holding a private engagement ceremony for my son. He is going to be engaged today" qingheng-jun stated
"So you are saying that lan xichen is going to be engaged? With whom?" Sect leader nie asked getting confuse
"It's not xichen, sect leader nie. It's Wangji who is going to be engaged" lan qiren clears
"Wangji, but he is just 5. And who is his fiancee ?" Sect leader nie asked again
"Oh...Wangji's fiancee is Wei ying courtesy Wei wuxian. Son of Wei changze and Cangse sanren." Qingheng-jun said
He continues "And the matter regarding engagement at 5. Well let's just say wangji married the kid in lan's way. So we have no option but to do this. Besider both kids like each other alot. So we don't have that much problem."
"Engagement will be held in the main hall in Evening. Until then, you should rest." Lan qiren stated and left with others.
In jingshi
Lan zhan's unseenable pout can be seen by his mother and brother only. He is looking cute in their eyes. He is upset because his brother and mother had separated him from his wei ying. And they also removed his ribbon from wei ying' wrists. 'When did they become So cruel?. Why are they doing this to us?' Lan zhan sulked
"Didi, don't sulk. You will meet a-ying in the evening" lan xichen tried to confort his baby brother
"I'm not" lan wangji stated
"Today is your engagement ceremony..." his mother said and continued in a hushed voice on coming closer to his ears"Besides that's another matter that both you are already married" his mother teased resulting in bright red ears.
