Christmas day arrived, and Madeline returned back to her home. Her parents always threw a large party, inviting all the royal families around the world. Madeline got ready later that day with Elizabeth, who had picked out a beautiful white dress that had a large pink bow in the back.

"So, do you like your boarding school?" Elizabeth asked, as she started doing Madeline's hair.

"Yeah, I love it. It's really fun." Madeline said, as she watched Elizabeth put the brush down, and started braiding her hair.

"Did you make any friends?"

"Yeah. I made a friend named Daphne, she's really nice. Then there's two boys named, Theo, and Blaise. Then we have this one stupid boy that there friends with, and he picks on me all the time. I hate him." Elizabeth chuckled,

"Really what's his name?"

"Draco. Draco Malfoy. What a stupid name too, he makes me so mad." Madeline said, shaking her head. Elizabeth looked at Madeline in the mirror confused.

"Malfoy? His last name is Malfoy?" She asked, Madeline nodded.

"Yeah." Madeline answered, as the door opened, and Erica, Madeline's mother walked in with a box in her hands.

"Madeline, are you ready?" She said, as she set the box on the dresser, as Elizabeth bowed quickly before she finished Madeline's hair. She had pulled Elizabeth's hair into a double Dutch braid ponytail, with a white bow.

"All done." Elizabeth said, as Madeline stood up. Erica smiled at her daughter, as Elizabeth excused herself and walked out of Diana's room.

"You look beautiful, hon." She said, as she opened the box, and took out a small tiara.

"We have very special guests coming today. They're very important to us, and to you, so you need to be on your best behavior." Erica said, placing the tiara on Madeline's.

"I will," Madeline answered.

"Good girl. Let's head downstairs. Our guests are going to be arriving any second." Erica said, Madeline stood up, smoothing her dress before nodding at her mother.

They walked downstairs to where her father and two younger siblings, Grace and Elijah, were.

"Elijah! Don't pull on your sisters' hair." William said,

"But it's a pony's hair, she obviously stole it." Elijah said, Grace shook her head.

"No! that's not what ponytail means!"

"Then why do you look like a horse?" Elijah asked, William clapped a hand over his mouth, trying not to laugh.

"Elijah that's not nice." He managed to say.

"Our guests are pulling up your majesty." A butler said, as he bowed.

"Open the doors and tell the waiters to start bringing out the drinks." William said, as he straightened up.

---

Madeline secretly hated this party; it was always so boring. She wished she could have invited Daphne, Theo, and Blaise but her father wouldn't let her.

"Excuse me, Princess Madeline." Someone said, she looked up seeing her butler, Joseph.

"Yes, Joesph?" She asked, as he bowed to her.

"Your fathers asking for you." He said, before leading her to where her parents were, standing with a man and women, and two children a boy that looked like a year older than her, and a girl that looked the same age as Madeline.

"Here she is. This is my daughter, Princess Madeline Ayer." Madeline bowed, to them, and they bowed back. She noticed the family were very tall, with very dark brown hair, with pale skin, and thick hair.

"Hello," she said,

"Pleasure," The older man said, Madeline noticed he had a very thick beard.

"This is the King Augustus and his wife Isabella, their children Prince Alexander, and Princess Ailsa of Sweden. This is the first year they've joined us." William told Madeline.

"We're very pleased you could join us this year." Erica said, Isabella smiled, glancing at Madeline.

"We're very pleased as well. I'm sure the children will love to go and play."

"Yes, Madeline why don't you go and take the kids to where you were sitting. I need to speak to you in my office Agustus." William said, clapping a hand on Agustus's back, and lead him away from the little group.

"Go ahead, go talk." Erica said, putting a hand on Madeline's shoulder, Madeline nodded, leading them to the table she was sitting at before.

"So, how old are you guys?" Madeline asked,

"11,"

"12," Ailsa and Alexander said together.

"I'm 11 too. Do you guys like it here?" She said, as a waiter came and poured some juice in their cups.

"Thank you," she said, as she picked up the cup.

"It's fine, but no snow, we were very disappointed." Ailsa said, shaking her head, making them laugh. The three sat there talking for the rest of the night, until the party ended, and the family had to leave.

---

Later that night, after Madeline showered, and changed into her pajama, Erica walked in holding the empty box the tiara had been in earlier.

"Did you have a nice time?" She asked, as she picked up the tiara and put it back in the box.

"Yeah, I liked the Sweden prince and princess they were really nice." She said, not noticing Erica's smirk growing.

"Why did you invite them this year? You never had before." Madeline asked her mother.

"Your father just had some business he needed to take care of." Erica said, Madeline shrugged and nodded as her mother wished her goodnight and walked out with the box. Madeline crawled into bed, falling asleep the second her head hit the pillow.
