"Nevada you good?"

New York slightly hit the state lying on the floor of his room with his foot.

"Hmm? Yeah I'm great!"

"Yous sure?"

"Nothing York."

"Alright."

Nevada let out a despaired sigh.

"Yous are difficult Nevada."

"I guess that's why I'll be lonely forever."

"Nevada rolled over and buried his head into New Yorks floor.

"What happened."

"Well I have like superrrr high standards right."

"Yea"

"So what if I never find someone."

New York grabbed Nevadas hand.

"Get the fuck up."

Nevada groaned and looked up at New York.

New York gave a small tug, jerking the others arm forward.

"Fineee."

Nevada stood up, letting New York guide him into the basement, where an assortment of pop songs, primarily Taylor Swift (purely Taylor swift), could be heard.

New York opened the door to find a couple states there.

"You forcing people to listen to Taylor swift again?"

"Mhm!"

Sitting on the pool table inside the basement was California.

"California, describe your ideal partner."

"Alright-?"

California tapped against the wood of the pool table.

"I have a whole powerpoint on this hold on."

California ran up to his room after pulling down the projector.

"We got him on a rampage huh."

"Yeah you guys did."

New York and Nevada looked at the couch, where Colorado, Oklahoma, and Texas, an odd trio, were sitting.

"Well hey at least you'll finally if your up to their standards."

Oklahoma pushed Texas's shoulder.

"I don't like California!"

"Oh yeah?"

Texas was not doing a very good job at hiding his feelings recently, or ever, but this was a particularly bad week for the southerner, with him being a flustered mess who couldn't seem to take his eyes off of the golden state.

"Yeah."

"Then please explain the image Florida sent me of him laying her head in YOUR lap, while you played with HIS hair, and told them they were pretty."

Texas stuttered and mumbled trying to get words out.

"That's what I thought. Pretty cute couple shit if you ask me."

"Yeah dude."

"Y'all guys are in a cult, shut up."

Texas pushed oklahoma, knocking him over and off the couch.

"Ow."

"Sorry-"

The door slammed open with California holding her laptop.

"Hey losers."

"Hey dumbfuck."

"Guys, maybe you should stop being mean to each other."

California and Nevada rolled their eyes at the request.

"Anyways, I would like you all to see my PowerPoint about the perfect and ideal relationship partner."

"This is going to be fucking long."

"Oh right, and if there's an uncanny resemblance to anyone we know that's purely a coincidence, no homo, socks stayed on, it's not gay if it's with the homies, /P, excetera."

California spent a while with the power point, enough time to make people lose track of time (totally not the fact that the writer's perception of time is unreliable at best).

"Alright that's it!"

Californias slammed the laptop closed before looking at their phone.

"Oh! Me and some friends have plans so I should get going now!"

"So how many traits did he list as must haves?"

"I think 10?"

"California has high standards huh."

"Trust me Texas, you fit her standards."

"I don't like California!"

"Totally."

Texas buried his face into his knees.

"I don't like California!"

"Yes you do."

"Nevada."

"Yeah?"

"Let's go, we should leave Oklahoma to do what he does best."

"Bully Texas?"

"Yes."

New York grabbed Nevada by his hand, closing the door on their way out.

"Now if California has high standards and somehow manages to have people who meet those standards falling in love with him then I think you can too."

"Yeah but California has so much going for them!"

New York seemed to think for a second, before finally coming on a conclusion for what words to say.

"What if I told you someone close to you was in love with you."

"What-?"

"Said too much. Florida is going to kill me."

New York walked away.

"WAIT IS IT-"

"NO IT'S ONE OF FLORIDA'S FRIENDS."

New York hurried his pace upstairs.
