Byleth walked on ahead as the other three tried to investigate more of the scene. Byleth sat on the bench as the winds blew softly. The air was cold and it showed.

Byleth grunted, "Not a single way we can find ourselves getting closer to finding out who killed Mario..." Byleth closed his eyes for a moment and let the scenery take him whole. Muttered talking in the background, the sound of the winds brushing around him.

It was a cold and empty feeling, it was sad and disheartening even. He felt like there was something missing, well other than Mario missing... he was dead and there was no bringing him back. Even if he tried, Mario wouldn't be alive, they lost their beloved team leader. Even then, Byleth felt an uncanny feeling growing inside of him.

There was something off-putting about the whole situation. Mario suddenly dying, the mirror asking him to seek the book and the scroll... There was far too much. Even Alcryst suddenly showing up made the entire situation shady. He couldn't help but feel a little pissed off about the entire situation.

Byleth groaned, "There's something that's seriously driving me insane. I'm not sure what it is but it's bothering me so much..." Byleth lifted his head and looked around the entire town. There was so much life despite everything that had happened. Byleth felt jealous.

Byleth grunted, "I... I must do something about this..." He got up slowly and pulled out his weapon. He looked at the people and felt... the urge to hurt them. That urge was growing more and more. The people kept laughing and chatting among one another. Meanwhile, the heroes were still investigating the situation and trying to understand what was going on.

Marianne thanked Alcryst, "Thank you for wanting to help us."

"It was nothing really, I don't deserve the praise," Alcryst replied as he looked down at Mario's dead body. He felt deeply disturbed by the entire event. "Who is that insane to even kill Mario like that?"

Alear muttered, "Someone who's familiar with weapons that's for sure." The heroes nodded in agreement as they continued investigating. Meanwhile, Byleth was whipping his sword everywhere. Trying to hurt the people at the same time restraining himself.

"Are you practicing some tricks Byleth?" One of the townspeople asked. Byleth looked at them dead in the eyes and was shaking a lot. The townspeople immediately started panicking as Byleth grew angrier and angrier by the second.

Byleth shouted, "DON'T YOU SEE!? OUR TEAM LEADER IS DEAD AND I HAVE NOT BEEN IN THE BEST MOOD! SO KINDLY SHUT THE FUCK UP AND LEAVE ME BE!" Then he attempted to whip the townspeople. They backed away and watched as Byleth was driving himself more and more into insanity. He was beyond stressed out and couldn't handle himself.

"BYLETH!?" Someone asked. Byleth turned his head over and saw team villain standing there in confusion. Beth was staring at him when he saw them.

Byleth asked, "Do you have something to ask of me?!"

"Nonsense! You know we don't need to ask anything, we were going to attack but you appear to be having a moment, is that me overhearing that Mario is... dead?" Marth asked as he smiled. Byleth looked at him and put his sword away.

Beth laughed, "Ahaha! Your team leader is dead?! How saddening is that?! That's so pathetic!"

"Aww, someone's team leader died! HAHA!" Ephraim mocked. Byleth looked at them all and started feeling his anger building up slowly. He was getting more and more pissed off with them by the second. Not only just team villain but everyone in general...

Byleth shouted, "SHUT IT! YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED! YOU DON'T HAVE A RIGHT TO SPEAK!" The villains stood there staring at Byleth and started laughing again. Byleth grabbed his sword and made it far more sharper than it should be.

"W-What the-"

"AHAHAHA!! HAHAHAHA!!!" Byleth laughed as he raised his weapon into the air. The villains took out their weapons and looked at Byleth. He had a crazed look on his face, he was ready to kill them no matter what.

Marth grunted, "You're... insane!"

"INSANE?! INSANE!?"

"You're responsible for killing Mario! I just know it due to that look on your face!" Marth replied as he got ready. Byleth looked at them and smiled. His smile grew wider by the second and he was ready to tear them apart.

Byleth laughed, "I DIDN'T KILL ANYONE! IN FACT WE SHOULD BE WORKING TOGETHER!"

Marth put his sword down and asked, "Wait... huh?"

"Maybe I should reveal my story to you guys before the heroes figure it out, after all we have been working together behind the scenes... have we not?" Byleth asked as he put his sword down slowly as he smiled. The smile was no longer a crazed one, rather it was sinister.

Marth looked at Byleth, back at the heroes and said, "Fine, you got yourself a deal."

Byleth laughed, "Like you had any choice at all! I would've figured out a way to fire all of you! Even if that meant KILLING YOU!" Marth glared at him and then turned into fear. Byleth... was something else.
