Raiding Lythos Castle ~ Chapter 75

"AH!" Alear shouted as she dodged the attack. Veyle got herself ready to cast a spell on them. However, Eirika got herself ready to deflect. They stood there staring at one another as Alear and Rafal fought with each other. "TELL ME! WHY!?"

"WHY!?"

"YOU ARE TARGETING US FOR A REASON! OBVIOUSLY YOU SHOULD KNOW WHY!" Alear shouted. Rafal jumped backward and smiled.

Rafal mocked, "I thought it was obvious that we were after the scrolls of Lythos." The two stared at each other; however, Alear felt herself getting afraid. The rushing feeling of the swirls in his eyes. All of them looked like that. Suddenly, she heard something in the distance.

It was Ike, he was slamming his sword against the library door. Veyle dashed over and casted a spell on him. He fell backward and looked over as Veyle became more afraid. "VEYLE!" Alear dashed over and blocked the attack Ike had attempted.

Veyle looked over in shock. "ALEAR!?" Alear didn't say anything, she kept on fighting back. Meanwhile, Eirika swung her sword around. Getting herself prepared to attack the two. However, Veyle was able to act first and attacked her. She fell backward and looked over in anger.

Rafal yelled, "OH NO YOU DON'T!" He dashed over and swung his axe at Veyle. She fell backward and looked over as she saw that she was bleeding.

Alear yelled, "NO! VEYLE!" She dashed over and shoved Rafal onto the ground. The two got back together as Veyle started to heal herself. Alear was going to give it her all to make sure she can protect her younger sister. "STAY BACK! ALL OF YOU!"

Ike asked, "What the hell are you going to do? You can barely do anything..." Alear looked over in anger as she got prepared to attack again. Suddenly Veyle casted a spell. The villains fell backward. Soon it started to get a lot worse, Rafal took out a syringe.

Veyle asked, "What is that!?"

"DON'T LET HIM TOUCH YOU!" Alear shouted. She dashed over and slammed her sword against Rafal. But instead of hitting him, instead it hit Eirika's blade. Rafal smiled as he attempted to stab Alear's arm. She fell backward and looked over in worry.

Veyle yelled, "WE NEED TO PROTECT THE LIBRARY!"

"No."

"WHAT!?" Alear got up using her sword and looked over in anger. She took a deep breath and swung her sword around. "What do you mean no?!"

Alear explained, "If we continue protecting the library. They're going to find a way to corrupt us. We need to leave."

"WHAT!?"

"AHAHA! So you finally figured out what we will do?!"

"Besides getting the scrolls? Yes..." Alear explained. But soon she stepped in front of the library doors. "Before I let you all through I'm only going to ask you one question."

Rafal asked, "Yes? What question is that?"

"Why... why do you want to get your hands on the scrolls?" The villains stood there in silence as Alear glared at them. "TELL ME WHY!"

"Why? We have no reasoning as to why we need to tell you. You will do as I ask of you or I'm THROWING THE SYRINGE!" Alear stared at them in disbelief, she was unsure what to do. "GO ON!"

Alear looked around the area and back at the villains. Rafal got himself prepared to throw the syringe directly into Alear's arm. "The answer is no unless you give me the reasoning as to why." Then Rafal lost it, he threw the syringe at Alear. She barely was able to dodge it.

Rafal then took out his axe and swung it at Alear. She was hit directly across the face and fell onto the ground. Blood was all over her face but thankfully she was still alive. Veyle dashed over to Alear as she started healing her.

"There's so much blood! Oh my god!"

"Keep calm Alear! I have you!" The villains smiled as they broke down the door. They walked into the room and searched the area. They separated to make sure they could find the scrolls. "Goodness!"

Alear grunted, "VEYLE JUST STOP... Them..." Alear nearly collapsed onto the ground due to the blood loss. But Veyle wasn't going to stop. She was going to make sure Alear was healed and healthy. She cared that she had her sister alive, soon the villains dashed with the scrolls.

Rafal laughed, "We appreciate that you took one for the team Alear! Unfortunately we have to leave now, see you LATER!!" Then the villains dashed out of the building. Alear looked down at all the blood on the ground and felt her face. Her glove became covered in blood.

Alear questioned, "Veyle?"

"Yes?"

"How... How bad is it?" Veyle took out a mirror and gave it to Alear. Alear looked at herself in horror as she saw how covered in blood she was in. She was unable to speak, she was so distraught. Half her face was covered in blood, she could barely see herself but she knew how she looked.

Veyle replied, "I'm trying my hardest but Rafal made a really hard swing!"

"Don't... worry too much about it,"

"You're my sister! I have to help you!" Alear fell onto the ground as Veyle continued to heal her. She was going to find a way back at them... somehow.
